The real Horror

I think dissolutionment with long awaited franchise films was planted in my head (quicker than Kane getting his face humped by the original facehugger!), after Indiana Jones 4 trailer proved to show so much promise before my dreams were shattered by the combined dump of what Lucas and Spielberg inflicted on us.
Please Please Please Sir Ridley of the Scott make this film live up to the lofty standards of the trailers, I really don't want to have to refer to this film in the future as "Pro-faeces-us"

....it's gonna be an epic well thought out masterpiece that people will be discussing many years from now......or is that what we only hoping for.....c'mon june !
One thing that annoys me is how people always say the original is better....when sometimes it really is'nt.....I think it's cause the original comes up with this new idea and then sequels simply expand on the original idea...but what else can they do....with Prometheus they actually went out of their way to create a new fresh prospective and I don't mind that....but i bet many fans are not gonna be pleased....their is still plenty of people out their who believe that this is a true Alien prequel....i feel sorry for those!

Many of the cast have said they have not done a movie as big as this one, in terms of the scope and depth and contents of its plot.
so i think it would be quite ground breaking in some areas.

I agree CrazyDave... it was just a bit of fun, but you have to admit that Lucas has been kind of f'ing with us all for a while. NOT that I am remotely implying that Scott will and I wouldn't have ANYONE else (not matter their talent) helming a Blade Runner film ;)

WHY oh WHY did you have to bring up Indiana Jones and the crystal skull sheet hole? Until now, I lived with the feeling that RS was invincible... Then you so reminded us of how two directors (one, Spielberg, a regarded genius, and the other...not so genius lately due to laziness) can completely "jump the shark" and go "full retard"...ugh...
Not worried about Prometheus. I'm starting to hear more and more great things...
Gonna be fantastisch!

I think too much of Scott and this cast to believe this movie will be a huge turd. I will watch it with the least possible level of expectation, but it will be hard not to be excited.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

I'm sure it will all be marvellous Otto its just that evil 1% doubt that crosses my mind.

If the film ends up being enjoyable, I'm sure it will flop. I don't think the world could cope with my happiness.

what does that even Mean?
May 14, 2012
Spart: I think they mean that even if all of the fans enjoy the film, it might still end up a flop because it's not catering to the masses... i.e. Robert Pattinson's not in
but what a BEAUTIFUL flop it would make!
Haha, yep. That's all that really matters anyway. As long as I get mine. LOL
@Spart,
What DippyBird said! :-)

It's a sad state of affairs when this is what cinema has come to, I vote everybody goes to see this as many times as possible to make it a success! Screw Twilight, I want to see more of the actual craft in the cinema again! All Hail RS!

@Spartacus : love your gif ! My favourite scene in BR. " I've seen things you people wouldn't believe..."

Let's enjoy the ride, and celebrate the movie! I remember being jacked for the release of Star Wars IV, Alien, and the first LOTR , and none of them disappointed. After reading the Alan Dean Foster book right before Alien came out, my imagination ran away with itself and made the movie itself somewhat of a letdown, but the movie has stood the test of time and I can still watch it often and enjoy it. I'm jacked about this one also, and my feeling is that it will be epic!!

@Dippybird...
I agree totally! No matter WHAT this thing "does" for you, we already know the work Ridley and company have put into it, and we KNOW it's real art. Let's support it dramatically and beat the crap out of the wannabe's...i'm tired of people thinking that movies like "Twilight" are actually worth seeing or supporting any more than their local shite dealer....

Hate... Twilight... so... much!
I'm team "Guy who almost hit Bella with a truck."
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!
