Ending: spoiler

David could well have crashed the ship, and made the warning beacon, knowing Weyland Corp may pick it up in the future.
Corny.

Sounds pretty close,
the one thing with that is, would that mean that Shaw gets into the seat? and if so she is just soo small in comparison, i don't even think her body could fill have of that suit. and the hole in the chest of the SJ is just so huge?
**but actually if Shaw is infected I guess she could mutate into full size?
sorry i may have missed a spoiler about Shaw. but i do believe that Shaw, David and hopefully Vicker's do steal the ship that crashes into the neighboring planet, but i still think that the SJ in the chair comes along for the ride.

I think that what happened on LV-223 happened on the Juggernaut en route to its destination. The Engineers can get infected by xenos and one did, so it set down and kicked off its warning beacon.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

don't forget the scene with shaw in medical robes, lashing out at two people with hazmat suits on...
i suspect she intends to use the derelict on LV-426 but is stopped somehow by David. The she wakes up in a Weyland or Weyland-Yutani lab as the information regarding the Derelict on LV-426 is taken/given from David - hence how the company knew it was there...
Now we just need to know how they knew the Xeno was there and what it was...

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!
SERIOUSLY IT"S THE ENDING!
Shaw steals the ship with her baby and the last Engineer on baord. The Engineer is impregnmated and killed by her baby. She and the remains of David head toward the Engineer homeworld to try and stop them from destroying earth. That's the end. Doesn't seem like Shaw and David get to far and crash land on LV-426. OR they don't and it a totally different Engineer on LV-246. That obviously will or wont be descovered in the sequel. Seems like it'd be a short film if it is the same ship on 426.

- SPOILER -
This is a quote from the end of Wiki's plot summary...
"Shaw recovers David's remains from the bridge of the crashed alien derelict and uses his knowledge to activate another Engineer ship in order to travel to the Engineer's home world in an attempt to stop them from using their own biotechnology."
@ Deckard - No mention of the baby and last engineer, and it doesn't actual say they do go to the engineer homeworld, but that its their intention.
LOL, even the wiki plot summary is open to interpretation...

I did interpret it wrong. That's why I wanted to edit it. If you read the last part, a little more than you quoted, it talks about the Engineer and baby happening on a smaller transport/ship. I somehow missed that when I read it and thought it took place on the Jugg.
Also, I read somewhere that the last Engineer is actually chest-bursted. The person who wrote it had everything else spot on. Wonder if he was full of shit?
May 29, 2012
Well it does say that Cuddles impregnates and then kills (???) the engineer. This could be its way of breeding, but I seriously doubt it will be the chestburster.
IMO its always best to look for info from more than one source, that way if they match its true, if they dont then one or both are lying.

Remember that the SJ pictured in the Prometheus trailer sitting at the cannon-thing is much smaller than the one seen in A L I E N. If it's Shaw and she dawns the snork-gear to run the Juggernaut, then how does she quadruple in size some 30 yrs. later? Is it part of the "SJ-super-speed-fossilization- process"?
May 29, 2012
So, I've heard everything from the endings above, to an ending where David is the origin of man through time travel. This movie can't come fast enough. It will be really hard not to spoil myself the week prior to the US release.

But, what about Shaw´s: "we were so wrong, they are not what we thought they were", or somtehing like that. I think they find Shaw in a escape pod and tells the ordeal. She is obviously traumatized by the events that unfolded during the mission, and at the slightest touch or gaze of the hazmat suit guys, in shock she responded aggressively.

...it was a little joke btw!.....c'mon... !! It was perhaps not in good taste... I don't think it's as bad as many who speculated that the engineer was gonna violate Shaw....at least now we know that this is as close as we ever gonna get to rape in Prometheus... and some parasite sitting on your face...I would hardly call that rape!....so it was just a joke to clear up all those old speculations...so no hard feelings...I can tell you the infamous "ashbuck" is not gonna be pleased!..;)

The plot synopsis on Wikipedia was a very brief rundown. Some movies listed on Wikipedia will have very in depth plot details. This one didn't. I expect this information to change as we get closer to the official release date. In the meantime, I will just regard it as a 'teaser' until I actually get to see the real thing in theaters.
Thankfully, despite this leak, I am truly not disappointed. Actually, I am much more excited now about the movie than I was in the past. I am truly looking forward to it!

What about RS and everyone else involved, including in the featurettes, stating that this isn't an ALIEN prequel? Also, even if we presume Shaw grew by 5 feet, and was infected and the baby burst out of her chest AND the new xeno was a queen and laid all of those eggs that were in the derelict ship's cargo bay, who put the laser warning system in place that was triggered in ALIEN?
May 29, 2012
I personally don't think that Shaw is the Space Jockey in the original Alien. It is possible that there are many such craft in the Engineer race's fleet and the real set-up to the events in Alien will occur in the sequel to Prometheus. A great deal still has to happen before that cargo hold gets filled up with eggs! lol

Asked if a sequel would be a direct prequel to Alien, Lindelof said "if we’re fortunate enough to do a sequel... it will tangentialize even further away from the original Alien."
With that in mind, I wouldn't get too worked up about a set-up to the events in Alien. Seems to me that they want to take the franchise in a different direction, which I'm completely fine with after the original storyline was driven further into the crapper (in my opinion) with everything after "Alien Resurrection" (including the AvP movies).
