Yes, don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous sculpture, I suppose it takes some skill to do that, but it's too much detached from a Gigeresque vibe.
Ibanez, as Xenomorph54 kindly reminded us, issued a few instruments for a very limited Giger series, a few years ago. They were not sculpted, though, just printed. But they were sexier.
And moreover, it's not a bass, it's just a guitar!
