We should all get together and write a script for Ridley. :-)

We saw he's a tv series scenarist.
Interactions between characters are less good than alien, prometheus should have deserved a complete series season.

perenucleaire:
I'd bet there WILL be a prometheus tv series.

Let's hope DL is not involved with the Blade Runner prequel/sequel.

I've not seen the film yet (got my tickets for tomorrow night) but I've always been EXTREMELY concerned that Lindelof was involved. I don't rate him at all. But RS has long since said that the thing in the chair was a suit, not a creature. So IF that is the way that it actually turned out in Prometheus then I'd say it's more down to RS's original idea than Lindelof's meddling.

haha...goon, well said.
You don\\\'t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

@membrane
God Forbid......The guy maybe smoke just too much dope - His stuff turns into a tangled mess unless strictly monitored.....
Like I said, Ridley took to him for some reason - I think the reason being he got Ridley thinking about the "oversaturation" of all things XENO/ALIEN - Ridley obviously seriously bought into all that - AS DID I with the way they where going on about it - They had us all stretching our imaginations and pushing the boundaries, when what they had come up with missed out THE BASICS!!!!!!!!! Fuck! School boy error!

The High PriestMay 31, 2012
@ db73 - Dude would love to see a Ridley quote mentioning the Jockey in Alien was a suit PRIOR to the production of the Alien prequel/Prometheus project - Please send link of this evidence.
Not saying your wrong - but I didn't hear about "The Suit" until deep into Prometheus production.
NoXWordMay 31, 2012
Why is nobody mentioning Spaihts?
The script is basically his, and RS was going for it until DL suggested to steer clear from a prequel. From what I understood from the interviews, Lindelof has just "Lindelofised" something that was already there.
If anything is wrong with this movie, plot-wise, all three authors have to be blamed not just Lindelof!
I demand equal rights!
Down with Jon Spaihts!!!
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

The High PriestMay 31, 2012
fair enough...Scott, Sphaits and Lindeloff got all tangled up and the soup turned sour....

The High PriestMay 31, 2012
I hope Lindeloff has all his money confiscated by the art police and given to the poor but talented writer guild!

The High PriestMay 31, 2012
Bloody Hell Frantz - So the script must have been in some damn poor shape at the hands of Sphaits then!

Gimm-eMay 31, 2012
To me , it seemed like they didn't really know what to do with the script, and so they decided to do nothing with it at all.
You don\\\'t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

Just curious...how many of you on here trashing Prometheus have actually SEEN it?

SyphonoxMay 31, 2012
I mean...High Priest...you were praising how great the sneak preview was a couple of months ago...now you're screaming bloody murder...but you still haven't seen it yet?

JuxtaposeMay 31, 2012
@ high priest
How old are you?...you are so lucky that you getting to see this movie tomorrow....I would almost trade in my left testicle.....how dare you judge a movie that you have'nt even seen yet.... don't you have a mind of your own?.... can't you judge a movie on how you perceive it without other peoples opinions......you just weak!

The High PriestMay 31, 2012
@juxtapose and the community posse - Dudes cool out - I was just at work when I posted the thread so annoyed with all the negative press its getting in the UK ( I work at Future publishing which publishes Total Film - One of the good reviews) People are so hacked off with me talking about Prometheus I just got a little wound up with the fact that people on this forum seem to have come up with way better ideas than the real synopsis (yes I have read the spoilers).
I am passionate about quality, imaginative movie creation and have been a fan of the original Alien movie since the age of 8! I will be posting my OWN personal review tomorrow after seeing the film.

JuxtaposeMay 31, 2012
....ha ha....ok cool High priest...looking forward to your review.....just also touch on what you actually liked about the movie...just forget about the whole alien franchise and pretend that you are walking into a grand new universe..forget about what others have said...then tell us what you think !!...peace!

aintnozenoMay 31, 2012
In Spaight's defense, his script was chock full of classic aliens and chestbursters. Lindleoff himself said so, and claimed his "main" input to it was to remove them.
Just saying...

abiogenesisMay 31, 2012
I don't think Linfelof should get all the credit; Scott helped write the script, too.
