The trailer was far more coherent than the movie. The cobra thing that impregnated the guy orally, WTF happened to him? Pointless The black goo mutates one guy. But also happens to effect another guys sperm to produce a squid , WTF kind of shit weapon is that? The squid then impregnates an engineer and produces something that looks less like 'the alien' than the fricking engineer, tbh the final alien looked crap. And the engineers were meant to have know this would happen all along ( the new alien is in the mural). Again, what kind of BS weapon is that. Seriously, I think this story was probably working, then lindenhof came along and f*cked it up. Nonsensical rambling bullshit. Oh yeah, and PS. Evolution is real you f*cking bunch of retards. The only reason the monkeys survived to look like us humans (engineers Ha?!) is because the dinosaurs were wiped out by a massive asteroid. Such a dumb, dumb movie. And it actually managed to ruin one of the most mysterious parts of Alien (Moderated by Freeze. I realize you are upset, REFRAIN from using profanity and insults. I am quite sure the writers conceived Milburn and Fifield as a "homage" to a long tradition of dumb characters in horror movies, and I would have happily enjoyed their silliness if it hadn't discredited the whole Weyland enterprise.

I don't think the stuff at the start was goo it was more like acid and maybe it was just luck that it created humans who look almost exactly like the engineers the writings not illogical i just think it's confusing and complicated there's alot of clues throughout the whole movie i think that the movie was meant to be how it is so there would be discussions and theories and the movie dosen't completely lack logic and i'm not trying to jusitfy bad writing because it's not that bad it does have some bad writing and some plot holes but it's not that bad

@EveryoneHereIsCrazy the point about the captain figuring out and telling evreyone what the place was and what happend to the sj etc. was just utterly terrible. a bit part character pops up and explains the entire scenario. I would expect this info to be revealed in some epic scenes perhaps using that cool star room, I would have wanted to see shaws reaction when they discovered this info. but all we get is a couple of lines of crappy dialogue from a minor character? It was just utterly shocking story telling at a basic level

All I wanted to see was a good movie with a good story. Unfortunately, I didn't get either. I wasn't expecting anything other than that, but the CGI and violence did not make up for the rest of it. I didn't want to see aliens popping out of a chest, which was a horrible ending - I didn't want it to be another Alien movie. I just wanted a good movie.

^^^ I am with Buddho. I have no idea how this movie is fast becoming a talking topic of something more then what it is. There was no type of talk like this when District 9 came out. Yet its reviews far out play the Prometheus and the issues of the world were questioned. That is a movie with alot more meaning and issues that are happening in todays world. Prometheus is going to end up on the classic list of movies for which i honestly do not think it deserves a place. Movies like Shindlers List, Alien , Terminator, Psycho , Cinema Paradiso, City of god, Apocalypto, Last of the Mohicans , The Wild Bunch, Seven Samurai , Yojimbo etc. Watch some of those movies. Not even in the same ball park let alone the same planet. (Personnel choice i know)

@Lopan, I am in total agreement with you. The question why the "haters" are posting here if we dislike the movie and it is to serve a purpose. Why would I want people to throw away their money that is not worth the price of admission and fund a studio's lazy toy of rehasing? Ripley disappointed us and there have been actors and directors that have been negatively critical of their work. Obviously he is bowing down to the stuidios whims so I can no longer respect him as a reputable director.

Buddho, right..I only wanted a good Ridley Scott Sci-Fi, too..nothing more and nothing less.. just these two: - Shaw WOULD HAVE DIED just some short time after her ´surgery´ BECAUSE OF INNER BLEEDING. She is just getting clamped together on the top skin layer after deep cuts through ALL abdomen muscles. and this is NOT a matter of pain killers. fault. - How was David's body still right next to his head after the ship crashed and rolled? fault.
