Richie... in the briefing there's cave drawings on Hawaii... less than 1500 years old. (in fact with humans believed to have originated in Africa, and then migrated, places like Hawaii, Tasmania and the southern tip of South America were later settlements than elsewhere... and the earliest evidence of settlement on Hawaii are 300 CE, so 1700 years old. Whatever happened in that dome (one of 5 or 6 similar domes) it did not stop other visits to our planet, assuming that Shaw's C14 calibration can be trusted to work in that environment.

How about that there is no evidence that the plan was to wipe us out wholesale rather than abduct a bunch of us for nefarious purposes and that Shaw's interpretation of David's cryptic answer was based on her worst fears (the "Apocalypse" as foretold in Revalations. ) That dude Weyalnd woke up, might have been the equivalent of Igor, routinely sent to get more specimens for Dr. Frankenstein.
