Who created the Dinosaurs and other animals?

MemberOvomorphJune 20, 20121795 Views28 RepliesSo if the Engineers created us, who created the dinosaurs, them, and other animals? Easy, god. Well here is the thing. Our fossil records shows that Man has been on this planet for thousands of years. The cave painting in the film pre-dated the others by 35,000 years.
So, we know man was here then and that the Engineers visited to influence the painting of the caves.
Now, since the earth was a gas laden, hot mess, when life first formed in our seas, which took millions of years to become land dwelling life, here is my theory. The Engineers did not create life here, they simply helped it along. They took what was here, refinded it, and let nature take its course. Why in water? Easy, that feeds into the entire ecosystem. For the opening scene to be the creation of life on earth it would have to have been millions of years prior, and Earth would not be the scenic locale depicted. It was not very pleasant at that time according to all scientific research.

I'm looking at this from the filmmakers point of view...
Take your pet cat/dog - how many digits do they have on their paws, same as us. How many limbs do they have, same as us etc. etc. same goes for virtually all vertebrates including mammals, birds, reptiles and fish.
Look at the filmmakers point of view, this could (not saying it is, obviously) be a result of Engineer DNA...
While we have 99% of the Engineers DNA/Genome other vertebrates on Earth would have less but enough to explain the similarities all because of the Sacrificial Engineer.

Most dinosaurs and most animals share many features with humans...
- two eyes
- two ears
- two nostrils
- one mouth
- four limbs
...
...
...you get the point, whose to say that most of life on Earth isn't (according to the film) derived from Engineer DNA.

But the point remains, in terms of invertebrates, there is very little separating one from another exception for proportion and layout, so to speak.
