i had never heard of Idris Elba before i saw Prometheus but his character was rather memorable and like-able. i just finished watching his television series LUTHER on netflix and i think he would make a great "Deckard like" character in the next installment of Blade Runner. any thoughts ? (if you havent seen Luther i highly recommend it. its a police drama which does have a few of the cliches of that genre but is actually quite good in my opinion and Idris Elba is excellent in it!)

Russel Crowe- he seem's to be a stable-mate actor to Ridley Scott .

Blade Runner Deux will receive the same bashing as does the Prometheus series but I think it will be of a different sort. Unlike Alien, which has the baggage of a gang of films hanging off the back of it, Blade Runner is its own thing. I see Ridley having much less heavy lifting to do and far more freedom than Prometheus.
