Queen Deacon

Interesting theories guys. I think with Prometheus set on LV 223 and Alien set on LV 426 there needs to be at least two films. To explain if Noomi Repace crash lands on LV 426? Or if Wayland goes to LV223 to capture Deacon? Either way there is the whole "evaluation" stage, i mean that Facehugger in Prometheus was huge so it would need to evolve further more to become a Hugger we see in Alien. There's diffinatly an open page...

Maybe there is something in partial connection with The Deacons 'placental sac' and something analogus to the Parasite Egg.
If the Deacon is some bridging of a Queen or a Queen to the Queen and not only that THE Queen that makes the appearance in Aliens 'she' still has to get over to LV 426 either by comandeering another ship in some way and flying over there but how does the Space Jockey get there? Maybe 'She' goes and wakes up another potential sleeping Giant Engineer, awaits while he gets either The crashed Juggernaught on LV 223 to fly again then does 'Her' dirty work and he gets his comuppance then crashes upon LV 426 world, or somewhere is another Bio Engineer who 'She' somehow helps to wake up via acid for blood maybe, if any, then 'He' gets up and flies yet a third Juggernaught out of the planets atmosphere while The Deacon hides in the meantime. Then seizing Her moment She strikes or matures and lays something that in turn strikes. Or There are two other found Bio Engineers in cryo-stasis who both try and get away for what ever reason. She stowes away, attacks one and turns him into a parasite egg, then she awaits another to happen along while in-flight perhaps, gets rendered unconscious and is infected thatway. I would like to think that for whatever reason, the Derilcts Space Jockey some how had it dawn on him as Ripley had in Alien 3 that she was infected, he would know also and from then on it was a race against time to get off of this world of LV 223 and over to LV 426 where a possible cure may lie. He may want to perform self-surgery upon himself as Shaw did a self-cesarean section to remove the incubating organism from within. Alas, it does not go right for him and his chest is breached before he can complete his work upon himself.
A working theory.

i read the comment about the mural just being a tribute to giger as well. The thing is... that may be the case aesthetically, but NARRATIVELY, the mural has HUGE implications to the bio-chronology of the entire franchise!! they cant just stick the damn thing in there and say.....oops....it just looked cool. lol. I loved prometheus! its sitting at a solid A right now in my book. however, if it turns out that they really did stick the mural in there just because it was sexy (but was supposed to be somehow magically ignored narratively) ....and by doing so destroyed the biological timeline (the mural proves that, in some form or fashion, xenos and facehuggers existed BEFORE 2000 yrs prior to the events of prometheus) of the franchise, the movie will drop to literally an F. Im holding out hope that the filmmakers are more competent than that (i mean...they have to be, right?)

End of the day we dont have any 100% Proof that the Deacon will or will not lead to the Xeno or Eggs.
Ridley has hinted that the Xeno and Eggs was created a long time ago, and lately he did say 200 years prior to the events of the Hologram Engineers which died off on LV 223 around 2000 years ago.
So i think the only purpose of the Deacon is to provide us with a Organism that we can link to the Xeno as far as its Genetic Make up, so we can connect that the Xeno is connected to the same LV 223 outpost in the past and some how via DNA is linked to the Deacon.

@bigdave: I agree with your last paragraph. I think the deacon was somewhat of a genetic bastard that was never intended to exist. As you said, i think the deacon was inserted into the film solely to provide a genetic link that ties into the original xenomorph. the Deacon is sort of like a bastard cousin that post-dates the original xeno.
@aurorian: i tend to agree with you. I mean, come on. Scott and co. must have thought all of this through as far as timelines etc. The artwork in the ampule room certainly looks as though it is important in its implications. I refuse to believe it was just a haphazard add in just because it was aesthetically in keeping with the mood of the ampule room. Im going to choose to believe ;) that everything in the film was methodically constructed until i have a reason to believe otherwise.

I enjoy these theories and discussions about a possible Queen. I posted this comment for other forum questions on this site. It might be food for thought, or make people confused, or just be fun and interesting to read. I might post other comments later, but here I go with this one:
In a sequel, I'd like to see a bit more of how the Enginners are connected to the Xenos, i.e. more details on how these Engineers created the Xenos, or how they discovered them, used them...
In Giger art piece Hieroglyphics for the first Alien movie:

We can see the Xeno life cycle, with the Engineers actually present. Egg, facehugger, host (which seems to be an Engineer), and chestburster are all present. What's interesting and peculiar is the Xeno-and-slightly-human figure at the top of the image. Its body and limbs surround the protrait, and it or she is laying the egg in question. Could this be the first type of Xeno Queen? It would be interesting if they explored this in future films.
Also, I have some books at home which mention that the Enginners created the Xenos and their Queen as weapons of destruction and creation. But the Xenos here are described as first generation, with characteristics of Human, Xeno and Engineer species (a mixture of organic, humanoid and biomechanical). They refer to it as a possible representation of the very first Xeno Queen, with characteristics of all species (which are in fact one species). It's beautiful, yet eerie!

The origins/evolution of the species seem clouded/shrouded in mystery in Prometheus, and will probably remain so if the artisans of the film continue their "more-questions-than-answers" way of storytelling. It does however give us an opportunity to discuss and speculate as to what is going on and what will happen...There is some vast richness of theories here on all these forums!

Dont people understand that none of these events will lead,to alien....the derilect spacecraft in alien had been there 2000 years...it probably had landed therr fron escaping the first outbreak that hapened to the dead bodies in prometheus. The stories are related but dont run into each other so literally.

The queen was in a James Cameron film. These aren't James Cameron films. If the queen wasn't Ridley Scott's creation, I seriously doubt that he will show it, mention it, or refer to it, in any way shape or form, other than that mural. I would not be surprised if we never see the Deacon again. It looked like a dead end.
