Actually, No Apologies for making this post I just wanted to clear something up I felt I could after seeing and feeling the Vibe in the posts on these boards today... These three films are going to be all about "WHAT WENT WRONG" ! THIS IS ALL ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED 2000 YEARS AGO AS THE SPACE JOCKEY RACE WAS ON IT;S WAY TO EARTH...TO TERRA FORM IT USING XENOMORPHS!!! THIS MY FRIENDS, IS WHAT WE KNOW FOR FACT RIGHT NOW !!! OR AT LEAST, WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT NOW !!!

@brightonrock; I agree, this is a flawed weapon. Yes they die off within 3 days, so if you use them to kill off any and all organic life they just die out once the life is gone. However, the eggs remain, which is the mistake in the plan because the eggs can survive for a very long time waiting for a new host. Maybe that is why Ridley never added a Queen.

@ spartacus...engineering wasnt knocking the props out of your entire hypothesis, he was, like he later said, just taking issue with your use of the word "terra form" (and i agree w him...wrong word, but accurate gist). Sorry if that had already been cleared up, but the miscommunication was bugging me (ie you guys actually agree more than you disagree...just a definition/word choice issue). sorry; moving on. I think the xeno mural (the one behind the green mineral(ish) looking thing) really adds something to the timeline of events and any future narrative that may come to fruition. Depicted in said mural: 1) an E.B.E. that more closely resembles the traditional xeno than the deacon (clearly some type of "xenomorph" anyways). 2) traditional facehuggers (with very slight physiological deviations from the ones we know and love). 3) Humans (could be engineers, but they look much more like humans than engineers) being used as hosts for the abovementioned facehuggers. SO! what does it all mean? clearly the deacon is not a proto xeno (it post-dates the images on the mural etc.). As someone else stated, perhaps the deacon is a new variation on the original bio weapon? Perhaps the deacon was just a genetic bastard that was never meant to exist? One thing seems obvious... As evidenced by what is depicted on the mural, humans have had exposure to the traditional xenomorphs in the past. Also, the engineers likely had a hand in facilitating that human/xeno encounter. Im very interested to see how this part of the story plays out. I know ridley has stated that any sequel would deviate even further from the "alien" story. Frankly, I hope thats true! i would like to see the human/engineer dynamic take center stage. HOWEVER, the biology and chronology of the traditional xenomorphs, the deacon, and the black goo NEED to be explained. Any thoughts? I think this fits into "what went wrong". I hope... ;)

@JoeyJoe...Yes, couldn't agree with you more. ALL of your post. We obviously see eye to eye in regards to where the sequel(s) should go. I never thought about the Deacon being an advanced stage of the xeno. I guess the "timeline" had me thinking that it had to be pre-xeno. But just because this film takes place before Alien doesn't mean that the xeno from the Alien films hadn't existed for eons before. The mural does seem to indicate this. Amd with Scott saying he wants to go somewhere new this all makes perfect sense. I'm wiping my brow saying "sheeeooo" as I'm not as worried about having to see the xeno creation instead of something new.

As @ Svanya stated , Scott ( ALIEN 30th Anniversary Edition ): '' but the theory was , in my head was, this was, a ...an aircraft carrior,a battle wagon,of a civilisation and the eggs were a cargo which were essentially weapons,(sorry) like a large form of bacteriological stroke biomechionoid warfare.''
