Hello friends! The deacon is NOT a queen or even female BUT a KING yes you heared me right this is a MALE individual a sperm producing xeno that impregnates a queen! So in logic this is a KING plus this guy when fully grown will eventually be huge probably as big as a queen or even larger! Think about it guys the Queen needs sperm to produce all those eggs why not it be the Deacon? Love to hear your thoughts!

We are asuming that all Alien races even have or need male or female chromosomes and can replicate or breed perfectly well by other means, as some species even on Earth do. Too many of us are stuck on the King Queen thing, I think its silly really and cheapens the brand...

"...as some species even on Earth do....". I seem to recall that some fish/insects change sex..during their life..not asexual..or self contained..but able to take on a different role..as needed. So with that in mind,,it is only a human conception of a 'male or female' so unless it is in nthe film..well it would be hard to assign sex roles..
Be choicelessly aware as you move through life

I totaly agree with you @brego. The whole concept of having a king Alien makes the whole Xenomorph absurd. As the years have gone by I came to realize that the whole queen experiment in Aliens and beyond is a quick way out. After watching Prometheous I still consider the Xenomophs being asexual the most interesting concept to explain a little of there background. You see if there is both a King and Queen Xenomorph. Then there would be no need for them to use humans as host bodies. They would just reproduce at will and kill other living beings when needed. But if there origin comes from the black goo. Then they do need humans and other creatures to reproduce. That is what makes them so interesting. They hunt us down so there race can survive. We do not need them, but they need us.

if you listen to the commentary for Alien, ridley, at the chestburster sceen, describes that its a boy.....''its a baby, its a boy!!'' in his words..... as for the proto-xeno, i have no clue.

lol Ravager, I think he was joking.... I just think that the male femal thing makes the whole Xeno concept more Earth like and less, well, Alien, which is what is so wonderful about the series. One of the things that anoyed me about the many sequels to alien is that the Xenos seem to become more and more animal like and less Alien. Im hoping that Ridley doesnt add to this concept in any future sequel/prequels....
