Am I the only one who just wants another Alien movie?

I see where you're coming from, but I think if you review Aliens Alien 3 AR AVP AVP2 There.s been a helluva lot done with the xeno. @the end of AR you could have the Engineers FINALLY arriving @Earth to do their erase mission I am sure they'd be as offended by the Ripley-xeno hybrid as they were by David.

Hey @Prenihility thank you for the comment. The character of Boba Fett is an icon in the eyes of Star Wars fans. The problem was that Mr. George Lucas was never very thrilled with the concept being a proffesional bounty hunter. That is why he never gave the character much screen time. In the end he killed the character off so non-shalant by having him fall into a pit. At least kill him off in a fire fight. But like I said before in a prior thread that I put up months ago. Imagine if Boba Fett could be handed over to Ridley Scott so that he can implant him in the Alien universe. That would be so much fun, and interesting.

One of the great things about Alien was the way it set the imagination on fire. The next three films are all recommendable in their own ways but they never captured that sense of otherness, and wonder. For one thing, the Xeno was influenced by the DNA of the host organism, its final form adapted to the environment it had to kill in. But it basically being a human story, it never really changed. We got the queen, and thats cool, and it crossed with a dog...and that was...ok... but it's a big universe. You know there's more. One of the reasons Prometheus taking place over Christmas was oddly resonant was because it WAS Christmas, in the sense of finally getting some new stuff. And great stuff, a whole drippy razor sharp stocking full, wrapped in throbbing, glossy paper. But the Deacon had to be there, too, and it was SO WEIRD, and so great to see a different Xeno. The other ones didn't go away, you know. And they're a byproduct of this new Catalyst, the Black Goo. Great! Spill the Goo, man! Prometheus was not the lazy option. They went to the trouble to give us an exciting, insane new world, with endless possibilities, and I think with nothing but respect for the original and its ideas. And it worked, everybody is talking well into the night.

thank you major noob, thank you every body just wants the ENGINEERS!! when it's was the alien that started it all!!. but like you said major noob prometheus opened a new world so i don't expect to see a bunch of aliens or engineers but maybe something different.
