MemberFacehuggerApr-26-2017 11:14 AMThe Alien Day Stream provided some incredible footage from AC. From what I saw, it seems that all theories of David maliciously mutating Shaw should be disregarded.
We hear David's monologue where he begins to tell of how he and Shaw escaped LV-223 on one of the engineer's ships. We then see Shaw reattach David's head to his body.
Possible evidence of a romantic connection:
Shaw and David worked together to set the vessel on course:
And finally, David puts Shaw into hyper-sleep:
So again, the main thing I took away from the footage is that Shaw and David were on very good terms when he put her into hyper-sleep. (Even adoration.) So what happened to Shaw once they arrived on Paradise?
What's the story, MUTHUR?

MemberFacehuggerApr-27-2017 5:45 AMWhat I think happens is that Shaw is slowly transforming due to the small exposure to the black goo, David experiments on the canisters of black goo to make an antidote.
When they arrive at paradise David asks the engineers for help, but they experiment on Shaw instead.
hence why David bombards the engineer city with his modified black goo.
That's just my theory ;)
Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)

MemberFacehuggerApr-27-2017 6:30 AMI think the theory of something happening to Shaw during hypersleep (extreme sickness or death) and David just not being able to deal with it, seems most likely. This prologue's main intention was probably to show the evolution of their relationship, which again, is told from David's POV, so it's not to be entirely trusted.

MemberFacehuggerApr-27-2017 8:38 AMI'm with Rick and others on this:
Shaw may be ill (but could just be fatigue, delayed recovery from the cesarean and malnourishment?) sand David clearly admires, loves(?) her, as much as an AI can!
I thought the same when the trailer came out, BD, and looking at the Nature boy lyrics the 'love and be loved in return' seemed rather prophetic back in Dec. Nothing is by chance with Sir Ridders :)
His treatment of the natives and experimenting for a possible cure for Shaw would both potentially fit what we have seen so far.
How much David's motivations have become 'twisted' in the time gap is another thing entirely . . .
Other observations.
It seems the cryo pods were in tact on their ship unlike the others in the ship we see in Prom which appeared 'busted' . . .
The tools and drinking 'cup' we Shaw use look alien to me but those on the table look more familiar . . .
'So long as they are no worse!' Me thinks they are, David. Me thinks they are ;)
Lots of folk gathered below the ship and many appear to be running to the site. Question is, what are they expecting?
David looks royally pissed off at the end! My guess is he found out a dark secret or agenda of the engineers, which may lead into Shaw's fate.
David says he has no idea how long the journey will take. I find that interesting. How exactly does that thing travel through space?
