It got to be better than the prequels and Raised By Wolves where AI was featured lot. I can't watch it since I don't have the channel where they'll show it, but I hope that it'll be good.

So glad it’s working now! 🙏🏻 Of course, there could be more bugs that present themselves, so if anyone experiences any, please let me know!

Member posting bug fixed!! Sorry for the confusion folks, there was a subtle bug that was affecting member only posts, I tracked it down and blew it out the airlock!
Should be working great for you now! Emojis should also be working as well 🤟🏻
Testing member level posts - should be working now!
Puzzling why some replies are going through and some not - the emoji issue should be resolved. NCC - can you clarify if your post was TEXT only or if you tried to add any images / emojis / embeds, etc... ? Tracking these bugs down one by one - we'll nuke em all from orbit. Thanks for reporting any and all issues encountered!
Nicern*Edit: First commented with a smile emoji, and the comment disappeared. I then removed the emoji, and it appears ok now.
It's possible the site is fetching a cached version, can you hard refresh the site and try adding another reply with an emoji?
If that doesn't work - please let me know what device you're using to post! Emoji worked fine from my iPhone mobile browser - I will check Android as well unless you're using a desktop.
Thank you for letting me know!
Nice

Looks like it might have been due to inserting emojis - I have fixed this! 🙂
Well, looks like we found some bugs! Time to go Bug Hunting lol If you try posting a reply and your reply doesn't show up, please send me a private message with info on what you were trying to post!
* Replies now look like this * I'm quite pleased with how it's looking now and is quite an upgrade from what we had before. However there's always room for improvement, so please share your feedback!
Initially the first episodes were going to drop at 8pm EST on August 12th, but I assume they switched it to 12am on the 13th? Unless they’re referring to a different timezone, I can’t see them getting their days confused on official marketing material… Yet they’ve been touting August 12th since it was announced. So I’m a bit puzzled.
My Disney+ says it airs around 2 am EST for me, the night of the 12th to 13th, so sorta confusing. Side note, all the episodes release on my birthday!!

This is so exciting. it's like a dream comes true.
I can't wait, jealous of the people that got to go to the early screening. x
This will be the game that makes me finally buy a VR set.

It's definitely setting the expectations high! lol

I LOVE this photo and i want to live in this land
It fits, so why not?
Thing is, it's not hard to respect the established timeline and operate around what already exists. Romulus contained elements of Prometheus, why can't the series? Why can't creators play in their own sandboxes? Is there no room for creativity and originality within these vastly expansive franchises?
Gripes aside at least Scott set out to create something new and unique using the same DNA as Alien without being a cloned copy/paste. How many times are we going to smile and clap at the predictability of an egg, the Facehugger latching onto someone's face – then oh no! We know what comes next... At least Prometheus and Covenant to a degree tried to expand our imaginations and venture into new territory.
Its lazy writing imo, if storytellers can't create something in the same universe without polluting what already exists.
So excited with this news. I still havent really started the VR game (i spent too much time on Alien Fireteam lol) but its good to know we can play it in 2D platform.
I think the president is a AvP fan
I'm not a huge fan of the prequels so if this TV-show will be better they can ignore what the prequels did, but only if they come up with better quality.
I am so, so excited to watch this darn show. My god it looks amazing. Funny, some of the shots show Wendy grabbing her head like she's in pain (could be her new synth ears picking up higher pitched sounds, still that should not cause her any discomfort), I feel like she might be rejecting her new body maybe?

@Jonesy; Looks like that eye parasite is in it's face maybe.
Wendy's character keeps holding her ear/head and wincing in pain, at first I assumed she was hearing things at a higher pitch because of her Synth body, but now I feel like she may actually be having problems with it, perhaps rejecting it? Anyways, can't wait to see this show!!
The last shot is so good, and the sheep's eyes give me creeps

Some more.
Additionally, in the alternate ending, Andy was supposed to save Rain from drifting away into space after the Offspring was yeeted out.

My god it looks so good, I can't wait. One thing though, the brief synopsis of Kirsh's character gives me a bad feeling he won't be a good android, which kinda sucks. As much as I love the character David, evil or cruel/hateful (disdainful of humanity) AI isn't something I normally like, i'm a Bishop/Call/Samuels fan. I had the same issue with the Alien: Icarus comic, it was good but I didn't enjoy the cynical nature of the androids.
I hope i'm wrong because I really was looking forward to seeing him on screen, but the guy does look a lot like Roy Batty (it was Timothy Olyphant's choice to look like that, not the director) and we all know his opinion of humanity, though I suppose he did change his mind in the end.

I'm digging deep in the material, trying to add everything I can I find cool or interesting.
sounds like fun , bring it on
I enjoy Alien Resurrection. I think Jean Pierre did a great job by making this sequel in a less serious tone and it stands on its own. I love his visuals and quirky style. Winona Ryder being in it is also a perfect choice. it complements Ripley's character really well. I am glad Boyle turned it down lol.

Echo your thoughts on the Engineers! Felt like it opened up the franchise so that the Alien seemed just a small corner of this universe that contained wonders and horrors beyond what we could comprehend or endure.
With a better script maybe, but according to the Perfect Organism podcast, the script was an issue as well.
