Barf The Mog I suppose there could be cornbread served with a special butter if desired?
A robot who protects, serves and grows killer ganja.....Yutani did it right with Walter.
What real world beer would be the equivalent to Aspen? So far beer and cornbread sounds pretty good. One could arguably make cornbread with beer.
Walter had his hydroponics going on, but that was not food and cut from the movie. However, his project may have led to a hankering for cornbread.
I like that idea!!
Perhaps Cornbread and American Beer day??

@ IRaptus
Thanks :) It was too good an opportunity to miss.
It sounds like he is all over the map. From what I see, he is involved in 8 projects in pre production, 9 announced, and an episode of The Terror is filming. And that is on top of the Alien franchise plans. He is busier than a cat burying poop on concrete.
This man is full of energy.
Too bad. Well I guess we'll wait to see what the mouse kingdom does, if anything. I'm still a big fan of Blomkamp and his imagination.
IRaptus - LOL!
'It didn't go down well...' Why aren't we surprised? :)
You should show her the Chinese versions! :DDD
Ati It is a true story. Some might say one can lose either an appendage or a life. My words would be a little better R&D for future models. I am afraid Giger may not have felt inspired by it.

The above juggernaut scan was run through a filter to bring out the detail differently than the Prometheus scan.
Ingeniero - My pleasure.
IRaptus - Glad you like it.
dk - As for the penis story, I can't find the... right words. :)
Alex Garland you're up next please!
Actually, it appears the mani was swimming in a cold pool prior to injury.
The junk gets in the way of the knee and off it goes.
ummm that must be one well hung mannequin/doll! lol
I believe you dk. You were supportive of my crayon drawing explanation.
IRaptus, my wife has now politely asked me not to share this personal interest in Alien with others.
I embarrassed her at a dinner where someone mentioned MUFON and I knew what they were talking about and I then spoke about our vital work here. I had been virtually silent until that point and she was disappointed in my participation in common banter.
IRaptus Looks like you will have to purchase the collection when Disney repackages it. Then the wife will see the Disney logo oon screen. By then your daughter might be in college though so why bother.
'It's so damn strange to imagine the Disney logo at the beginning of an alien film...'
Ati I tried to tell my wife it was alright to let our young daughter watch Alien films now for that very reason.....They are Disney films now ;-)
It didn't go down well....
K.C. Undercover on Planet 4...sign me up. I watched every episode with my eldest.
I do think there is a huge chance we'll see the movies move to PG-13. The benefit of that is the move back towards suspense opposed to gore. That might be the only benefit though from our perspective but the most likely based on merchandising decisions.
Actually, for emergent femoral arterial hemorrhage, one applies direct pressure with the knee- basically applying/holding pressure with sheer body weight above the wound (the groin), while getting a tourniquet ready. The junk gets in the way of the knee and off it goes.
That is funny. Talk about a legacy. An ocean of paramedics have had their face near your junk "depiction" learning their trade. That's a scream dk.
In the movie, the flute wound visibly appeared to close/start to heal if you look closely.
Greetings AliensQna.
In the novelization Daniels rams that nail in David 8's eye and it heals similar Walter's neck wound.
"As he tossed it aside, the injured eye began to cloud over. A temporary optical glaze formed as the material repaired itself. Internal capsulation that had no counterpart in a human body pumped fresh restorative replacement material into the eye."
Alien: Covenant novelization, page 292.
Walter's Fate
Walter most likely healed. Unless David took the time to cut off his head and place it away from Walter's body on separate sides of the hall of heads then I assume Walter healed again and he is pouting on the surface of Planet 4 waiting for David to come back with the ship. There is much work to do and all these games have to stop.
I assume the Engineers have some sort of alarm system (remote awareness) and if David's actions on Planet 4 didn't trigger this alarm then what would.
Stranger Things kids and Zendaya in an Alien movie maybe? :-)
"I wonder if he would be willing to find a middle ground"
Yes, scary but yes. Ridley Scott has said you have to listen to those that are giving you money. As for the props (also known as things I want but can't afford and/or justify purchase to spouse) sale...that is common.
Ingeniero Yeah it is kind of funny but is pretty true. Otherwise those things can take a beating. Apparently Adam Savage had a hand in its development- no joke, and it is rumored possibly more than a hand.
I love the Rosenthal above Ati. Thank you.
Yes, dk her back teeth are exposed but the cheekbones are intact and she is still beautiful. Amazing detail.
dk, I must commend your attempt to perform all potential life saving maneuvers on the Trauma FX manis.
You must have been in a life-saving-training frenzy to break off the penis and your team should be commended.
"Hadley's Hope was a billion dollar venture. But in 2179 what is 1 billion relatively. In Victorian England £100 was considered a small fortune, during WWII it was considered a sizeable amount of monies, today it is virtually small change."

Good to bring that up Gavin. The Nostromo was valued in the tens of millions ($42 million) before cargo so the Hadley's Hope costs can be compared to the expense of the ship.

There is absolutely no way Weyland-Yutani Corporation would admit they found traces of the xenomorph in Ellen Ripley's escape shuttle from the Nostromo in this room above...no chance.

The insurance company representative was present and there is no way the Company would tell them there were signs of an alien species the Company encountered and will spare no cost to turn every insured ship in the Company towards said species in an attempt to capture it. Insurance costs would go up.
The Prometheus Mission

The Prometheus mission (source: weylandindustries.com old site) was a joint venture with multiple investors and I can only assume insured for protection of all parties (Weyland, Government, Private). These figures give a glimpse of finance a century earlier from the loss of connection to Hadley's Hope in 2179.

daliens - 'Probably Blomkamp smelled Ridley Scott is the victor and "moved on" before the announcement being made by Disney.'
Hm... It's possible.
'It's so damn strange to imagine the Disney logo at the beginning of an alien film...'
You don't see the Disney logo before the new Star Wars movies either. So don't worry. :)
Ingeniero You are welcome. I don't think there is anything filmed, though. On top of that we already know there has probably been an auction with AC props already. But these statements are rather enigmatic. He is talking about a "target" while praising Disney for how the studios take care of its audience. I wonder if he would be willing to find a middle ground, maybe an Alien movie that targets a younger demographic?
