Thats interesting BlackGooDrinker
As to me he Spoke in somewhat a Alien/Engineer Dialect, it was not English and my interpretation was indeed something like RUN or GET THE HELL AWAY..
So its nice that the Actor had confirmed this.
LOL, I love it!!!
It appears that we have a bit of a conflict as Ridley Scott said it never had a script, but then he said something about only a 10 Page Pitch and so who knows how much of a draft was done, i will assume RS was correct in that it was just a 10 Page Total Plot and Story that would have needed fleshing out into a actual 110-125 Page Draft.
I think Ultimately FOX does not have the confidence in its Sci-Fi Franchises to had bank rolled TWO movies and having TWO movies would have maybe had one movie stepping on the Toes of the Other.
RS was very passionate about getting his Alien Prequels complete and also in doing a Prometheus Sequel, he as well as FOX would have felt that if they went for a Prometheus 2 that was not going to be covering Aliens, and within the same kind of period so say 2017-2018 release there would have been a Alien 5 with Ripley and Aliens... they would have worried if Fans wanted Alien 5 more, it could effect the Turn-out at the Box Office for Ridley Scotts Prometheus Sequel.
I will assume they liked some of the ideas in Blomkamps Idea's and they would have felt that maybe introducing the Xenomorph back onto it was what is needed... and so they had in effect Put Blomkamps Alien 5 on indefinite Hold while they re-wrote the Prometheus Sequel to be more of a Alien Prequel.
This is where we are at NOW.
Alien Covenant has not gone down to well, FOX did not back the movie enough and the budget compared to Prometheus with taking Inflation into account was about $50M short and i think this really showed... Ideally a movie that increased the Budget of Prometheus would have been better but instead we got a $50M less Budget (with inflation).
So this shows FOX is not really keen on taking Big $$$ Gambles with its Alien Franchise, and with how AC has not done as well as expected...
I think while FOX have kind of committed to a sequel to AC, because the Questions still need answering and AC has set up for a Sequel... I think this SPELLS THE END of any chance of Blomkamps Alien 5.
FOX will not invest $$$$$$ in doing a AC sequel and a Aliens Sequel... they will now play it even more Safe and i think they will go for Alien Awakening and push this to give us more answers and then depending how this Movie does.
Will determine how the Franchise goes from now on, because i feel Alien Awakening has to do very well before FOX would ever consider doing another movie after...
And as time goes on and FOX wont be wanting to Produce multiple Alien Movies over the next 5-6 years (i think they will see how AA does before they commit to another) and so as time goes on, the likely hood of seeing a Miss Weaver in a Alien Movie is unlikely within the next 5 years IMO
Which then we have to consider her AGE....
But not to forget, that FOX could panic and maybe consider bringing Ripley Connection and Miss Weaver into the FOLD if they think this would make a movie make more $$$$
But while RS has big plans 4-6 movies, i really cant see FOX prepared to Gamble on this... the Low Budget for AC is a fine example and now the movie did not do to well.
Do they learn from this and increase the Budget? or play it safe and pop out another lower budget sequel
I will say now... THAT THE NEXT MOVIE..... will be the Most Important in the FRANCHISE as far as FOX goes.. and by that i mean the next one is going to be a Sink/Swim for the Franchise.
Congratulations!
I think it would be interesting to see some Epic Space Sets/CGI like these, and maybe we will do in a future movie, or maybe in part for a small portion of the next movie.
I think a lot of the movie will revolve around the Covenant Ship for sure, and then it depends what Origae-6 is like, i would assume its a UN-populated place but who knows, i do doubt it would have already been heavily colonized by a Technically Advanced Race. Not as far as having Space Stations
But with a few players coming into action, i think we cant rule out a few Space Station type settings and a few different Space Ships as far as scenes showing maybe some of these Groups planning/departing for their Mission to intercept the Covenant or head to Origae-6
Thanks for the translation and theory Ivan. Totally agree that director R. Scott is super meticulous with his sets and details so who knows. According to that one drawing it does look like she got mouth bursted by spore exposure. Doesn't the book say she died finally from infected sex/birth from Prometheus.
My latest cover, created it out of boredom.
Parody version, I just hope people don't take this seriously.
"A crew of the colony ship Covenant, banished by the lord Farquaad, travel into deep space to search for a new home. They eventually
discover a planet that they believe is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark and dangerous swamp planet
whose only inhabitant is ogre named Shrek. After they manage to piss him off they must attempt a harrowing escape."

It is 10000 better than Prometheus
Only 5 years between these two prequels and this big inconsistency. Hmmm interesting.
I mean if they spend like 10k for black contact lenses the Engineers would look more believable. I dont know why they saved costs on the wrong end?
ali81, yes he is immortal to a certain point just like the Engineers are immortal to a certain point as i doubt that he can live as long as them. He is disapointed by the Engineers because they can get killed and consider himself superior to them as if he can't get killed. However the mere fact that the Engineer beheaded him with ease is a proof that he can get killed and/or destroyed. Thus he is not superior to the Engineer on this aspect. Moreover he needs both human and Engineer made technology to reach his goal. Thus he can barely be considered superior to human, and he can't be considered superior to Engineers. He has an inflated ego which blind him to some very basic truths. What is ironic, is that Walter which lack human emotions and feelings can clearly see how flawed he is when him which is suppodedly superior can't even acknowledge his flaws and the flaws of his logic.
I think this is a really good article. You make this information interesting and engaging. You give readers a lot to think about and I appreciate that kind of writing.see more
This IS a fun bunch, yes!! I am very glad you're having Fun with your announcement here, as with this fanbase, regarding THIS universe, such announcements are cause for celebration and good humoured fun :D
I'll soon have the driver issues (hopefully) settled then I'll be lurking about in the rafters and superstructural supports as usual.
All good Godzilla: King of the Monsters! I edited out my translation so we don't have a double-up :)
Im not sure what translation software you used buts it good to see they work pretty well and consistently.
Hello and Welcome to Scified IvanCA!
Thank you for taking the time to post your Neomorph theory. Good spot, it does look a bit like a Neomorph spinal-chord next to Elizabeth's photo.
I hope this translation works but here goes
Hola y bienvenidos a Scified IvanCA! Gracias por tomarse el tiempo para publicar su teoría Neomorph. Buen lugar, se ve un poco como un Neomorph espinal-acorde junto a la foto de Elizabeth.
timiteh, it really depends on ur definition of the term immortal. my understanding, and an explination I would accept, is a being that will not die of old age or illness, which would basically be any natural means. I wouldn't include man made devices such as pulse rifles, as I don't think they had them when life was created. tho, if u take immortal as simply cannot die by any means then no, david is not immortal, but id say for arguments sake, by definition, he is considered immortal
whether egg morphing is or isn't a thing is irrelevant. it was in the original star beast and alien scripts and was shot, only left out due to the pace of the movie. true that the queen was shown on screen prior to the directors cut of alien being released but that isn't an issue, theres no reason both cant exist in the alien universe. plus morphing is a real life natural process that exists today on our own planet so not that far fetched
gralen, from what iv heard none of the deleted scenes approach that. their scenes such as walter and daniels talking about her husbands death and extended conversations between the crew. theres an extended scene where david takes cudrup down into the egg chamber but that's all that interests me
The crotch blast is definitely disturbing. They also looked at a puke blast and spidey blast :)

"not easy being an aspie"
Are you actually?? I am too! I was finally diagnosed when I was 12.
(Waaay back in 1998, even before the diagnosis was widely known -- thanks to my dad pulling some strings to get a temporary assignment near enough to Johns Hopkins to take me there for evaluation and OT. Before that they thought I had "right hemisphere brain damage". Love my dad, he moved Heaven and Earth for me.)
Haha, ok, this is kind of like two synthetics of the same model crossing paths. Then you also know what it is like to never take a merely passing interest in anything ever?
Our hobbies tend to be pretty intense obsessions, so I suspect quite a few of us spend a lot of time on boards like this.
Lol, and I definitely would not have joined that Engineer party either, tbh.
That comic you made for your friend who is scared of the Engineers is hilarious.
I am going to agree with this idea. Hopefully we'll get enough people to type their agreement and maybe someone might actually be able to do something. I mean, we do have a thread called "Submit your questions for Ridley Scott..." I would totally LOVE IT if an upcoming Alien movie had a concept like one of the ones listed. The Razer Space Station is my favorite along with Red Cloud Asteroid Mining Station. The first spaceship by J.C. Park inspires me. Thanks for posting these pictures!
Loved this alternative bursting methods!!
wow! That's nasty Kethol lol.. and slightly disturbing
Interesting, Kethol! Could have been pretty gross to see. Good lord. But this one of several concepts in this franchise that are ALWAYS introduced and reintroduced, yet still passed over for the final version.
I did notice a big gap in posts on this thread between June 28 - July 09, but I don't remember reading any posts between those days. Maybe David is interfering with your computers processor? He wants to exist in real life this time! The Alien universe just isn't big enough.
It looks like there was a cocoon scene planned in Covenant at one point. This is concept art MPC came up with for the movie.
The xeno was going to be shown cocooning someone.

@VivisectedEngineer Of course I did :)
I'm not quite a social person to join them (not easy being an aspie), well not while they were in a drunken state.
Lately I've been dreaming all kinds of f#$%ed up dreams.
Once when I showed Alien: covenant trailer to my friend he was like "Meh" like it wasn't scary. But when I asked him should we then go see it he looked me with a scared look on his face and said "NO". The thing was, he didn't want to see it because he was afraid that the engineers might be in it. The last engineer from prometheus gave him nightmares. And he told me about one dream he had.
The dream was the engineer was chasing him through the city and won't stop until he had his heart. And while he was chasing him he killed everyone on his way by delivering a fatal blows to their chests, sending them flying across the street.
But his dream inspired me to make this

I'm currently working on a fan-fiction idea to greatly build upon the Engineer civilisation (in an exciting way), the alien mythos, and to go super-massive.....I will reveal it very shortly ;)
Code named: Omega Terminus
IRaptus - Thank you, I'm glad you like them. You're agreed, we need something big in the last Alien prequel.
'Go super-massive Ridley!!' - Yes! :D
@Ati
Those look pretty good! The second one, I am really confused as to what the plot is, but it seems like the kind of thing I'd like to keep on in the background while I do chores.
Did you really have that dream!? Because that is really hilarious! I started laughing out loud in this cafe. Isn't it odd how we never question bizarre settings in dreams? Why didn't you join their party!?
I had another very brief Alien dream recently (ironically, it was one of my rare, non-scary dreams) --
David was having a birthday party, then Elon Musk showed up and called David "the next big visionary".
The dream ended with me seeing Walter wake up, stranded on Planet 4. Walter woke up and said (to no one in particular) "I had a nightmare that Elon Musk went to David's birthday."
"What about you guys? Every have any interesting Alien dreams???"
Hmmmmmm... Lemme remember... Here's one:
I once had a weird dream where I was wandering inside the engineer temple on LV-223. After hours of walking I came across a large door, and when I got closer to it, I heard some noises coming from inside the room, so I opened it. When the doors opened I had something to see. Inside the room were Engineers partying and dancing like they were drunk.
They were dancing like this

![]()

To this SONG, or this ONE ( I can't really remember)
As they were dancing, I was standing at the entrance with a confused look on my face, and soon closed the doors.
I also had another dream related to alien but I don't really remember it.
/I wouldn't say that I like American Psycho.../
French horror movies, here you are, this is brutal:
High Tension (2003):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfpGzRV8Vdo
And a bizarre one:
Deep in the Woods (2000):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byffw7BsKDQ
(Also, my nightmare condition persists regardless of movie genre.
But, I can either have nightmares about semi-believable stuff like...one of my students dying because I ate peanut butter and didn't wash my hands well enough...or...about xenomorphs and other crazy stuff.
I prefer the crazy and easily dismissed to the believable :)
@Ati
"I didn't want to suggest French horror movies."
Oh man, I would love it if you did!!
(American Psycho is next on my list, but if you suggest some French horror movies I'll add them to the queue!)
Haa! :) They are not saccharine at all, but seeing your present nightmarish condition I didn't want to suggest French horror movies. :D
