The official Alien: Covenant film novelization will be written by veteran sci-fi author Alan Dean Foster! On September 1st, 2016 Mr. Foster shared an update to his own official website, indicating that one of his next projects will be tackling the unique and original material for Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. Previously, Foster had penned novelizations for a number of top-tier sci-fi films including Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Thing as well as a plethora of Star Trek adaptations! Below are his words, confirming his involvement with Alien: Covenant.

I'm currently writing the novelization, plus some unique original material, for ALIEN:COVENANT. An unusual approach that's never been tried before in a novelization. Look for it, along with the film, next year.

You can browse a full selection of Foster's previous novels and other works on his official website here. The above quote was grabbed from his updates page.

We're very excited to know that Alan Foster will lend his skill once again to the Alien franchise and continue to propel this new series further. As new details arrive for his Alien: Covenant film novelization, we'll be sure to keep you updated!

The Alien: Romulus sequel is currently in development and cameras are set to roll by October, 2025! Be sure to bookmark the Alien: Romulus 2 Info Page for an up-to-date account of all available information, production updates and important details!

Yes! Glad to hear it's getting a novelization in the first place. I wonder why Prometheus didn't have one??

I wonder what he means by "some unique original material"? Hm..
