The official Alien: Covenant film novelization will be written by veteran sci-fi author Alan Dean Foster! On September 1st, 2016 Mr. Foster shared an update to his own official website, indicating that one of his next projects will be tackling the unique and original material for Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. Previously, Foster had penned novelizations for a number of top-tier sci-fi films including Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Thing as well as a plethora of Star Trek adaptations! Below are his words, confirming his involvement with Alien: Covenant.
I'm currently writing the novelization, plus some unique original material, for ALIEN:COVENANT. An unusual approach that's never been tried before in a novelization. Look for it, along with the film, next year.
