UPDATE! Something is coming... Is Fox getting ready to debut the first Alien: Covenant trailer?

It would be nice if they would give us a trailer at least before this year is over but at the same time a trailer can be good but the movie sucks. The GIF looks good.

There appears to be a cube shaped object out in the blackness. Maybe picking up a payload or docking with another ship?

Oh and I would LOVE to see a teaser ;)

There will probably be a few more months of stills. Since it comes out August 2017 I'd say August 2016 might drop something just as the 1 year remaining reminder

I think it's a bit early for a teaser trailer, isn't it?

When was the first teaser trailer for Prometheus released?

I know I was a member of this forum at the time (when it was dedicated solely to Prometheus and the Alien series,) we were all coming up with crazy, surreal theories but I can't remember when I saw the first teaser.

That right there looks like something from 2001: A Space Odyssey! I love the promotional material so far for Covenant! Very thought provoking and cool looking too without really giving away too much. Ahhh hopefully a teaser is out by this fall at the latest!

It has been the trend of late to release trailers a year early. For example, they released the trailer for Beauty and the Beast and that is slated for next year release. I believe Fox will do the same to build up the momentum for the film. 

Also, San Diego Comic Con is in a month. We could be seeing a build up to a teaser release there. It's a high probability cause Fox will be there.

Dammit,I was expecting xeno at the end of the hall,but still the gif looks really good.

I think that might see some teaser at comic con,like couple of post production posters,new banner whatever they are preparing,but not too much because

I don't want spoilers.

I've just watched the GIFF and on first impressions it would just appear that the lights are going out one by one, from background upto foreground.

But, if you want to read something into it, it could be a clever little hint about the Black stuff infecting DNA.

That's the impression I got. The blackness is infecting the tunnel. 

I'm surprised they haven't updated the official Weyland-Yutani site to update us on the Covenant Mission.

I'm wondering, could the gif be reversed?  As in the lights are switching on like in Alien before the camera enters the hypersleep chamber?  Could be covering up a spoiler.  I could be wrong but it's the impression I get.

Finally got it to work... also the other one was interesting i wonder if their is a accident or sabotage on the Covenant?

I think maybe we could get some kind of teaser, but i would at least expect a few posters with teasing Tags on them..
