Is 20th Century Fox getting ready to debut the first Alien: Covenant teaser trailer? The official Alien social media channels continue to release cryptic images from the production of Alien: Covenant, building hype and igniting our imaginations. With the select few images they've released so far, our Prometheus movie forums have been lighting up with interesting and engaging fan theories and speculation, like when Prometheus entered production back in 2011.
Today, Fox released a new GIF of what seems to be an airlock door passageway. Like the Nostromo and the Prometheus vessels, these flashing lights usually indicate a system restoration or an alert. In Prometheus, the lights flashing indicated the ship had arrived at its destination. Furthermore The caption read "Systems check".
UPDATE: As we suspected, this GIF was not a coincidence! The official Alien and Prometheus social media channels just uploaded a second GIF, featuring a different backdrop, with a red light flashing. The caption reads "Seal all doors and hatches." Something is coming folks... and it's likely video footage. An Alien: Covenant trailer, or new poster could be inbound sooner than we expected! Watch this space for details!

Could this be a subtle hint that Fox are going through their own "systems check" and perfecting a teaser trailer for Alien: Covenant? With every new image comes new clues and with every new clue comes speculation. This new image is no different. Alternatively it could just be a random GIF made on a whim to keep the Alien social media feed active. But, I'm leaning more towards the former on this one. What do you think?
