Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus sequel news

Katherine Waterston emulates Alien's Ellen Ripley in new Alien: Covenant movie image!

Nowhere to run and seemingly nowhere to hide, Katherine Waterston's character Daniels is pictured below in the second official image from Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant, which is currently filming in Sydney, Australia's Fox Studio. Daniels is expected to be a fairly pivotal character in the Prometheus sequel and will likely be one of the few remaining survivors of the doomed COVENANT mission to Paradise. What's more interesting is Daniels' overall look in the photo below, her attire, haircut and general expression reminds us a lot of Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley from Scott's original 1979 Alien.

Katherine Waterston as Daniels - Nowhere to Run

Given what we already know about Daniels, it would seem that the photo above depicts a scene which takes place later on in the film. The seemingly damaged walls reveal open wires and the common area in the background seems to be on fire. Waterston's skin also looks glossy, which would suggest she's been sweating - likely trying to avoid whatever Alien monstrosity has been let loose on the Covenant vessel. The caption associated with the photo, released by Fox's official Alien: Anthology Twitter account, read "Nowhere to hide.", which further leads us to believe that the scene above is not one of Daniels relaxing, but trying desperately to survive.

It's very exciting to see new images surfacing for Alien: Covenant and as filming wraps up in Australia, expect many more to make their way online! As new updates for the Prometheus sequel are released, we'll be sure to share them! I believe that she will be up against David in the final scene. However, I believe that before the show down with David, she will be up against an Alien, perhaps sent by David or what ever has infected and killed the crew.

I have that same hunch. David is definitely going to cause a lot of trouble. I can totally see him and Daniels being the most at odds throughout the film. It will he interesting to see how David acts in the upcoming teaser trailer. I hope they don't show too much.

It has also been said that Fassbender will be playing multiple roles; aka more David units that the Covenant has on board. I'm sure he will take them over and use them against the crew somehow or perhaps mutate them into something worse.

Would acott pull a Prometheus ending where Daniels makes the ultimate sacrifice to prevent David from leaving.

Or...just a thought...a David vs David fight. Perhaps one of the Androids will not turn against the crew.

This picture looks very good. Because I am such a big fan of Ridleys vision (cast and other personel included) I will wait with further coments of the picture.

I hope that Ridley with this movie will rock our world.

I'm loving the look of this. Very raw. Very excited for the movie. Hope more images of the cast come out soon.

This scene reminds me of say if we took Alien, and imagine Ripley managed to flush the Xeno out of the Airlock or saw it was on the Narcissus and so she Launched that ship out...

Rushed to turn the Self Destruct off and then found Brett and Dallas.... and then she Torched them and then she wandered to a part of the ship keeping the Torched Dallas and Brett in her sights, and just sits there with the Flammer...

Hopeless and Stranded and having to wait it out....

If you imagine Alien ended like this, and then a shot of Ripley and what Emotion she would have... i think this is the sort of Emotion that the Daniels Image conveys to me.

Very interesting comparison BigDave, I can definitely see that correlation.

Can anyone tell what Daniels is holding? Is it a flashlight or weapon if some sort?

^ Looks like some extraterrestrial weapon, doesn't it?

This is a great image. I love the color palette. Looks like there will definitely be some new instant classic imagery in this.

i think the Weapon looks, like something the company could have and i wander if it has something to do with the Fire we see in the back ground?

Zooming in on the image, i noticed that the expression on her face suggests (to me) that she is resigned to her fate.

I'm assuming that she's the one who started the fire has an act of sabotage, probably to stop the ship, and whatever deadly creature it holds onboard from taking off.
