Katherine Waterston Talks Alien: Covenant to SciFi Wire

I can't help but speculate after hearing the way she spoke about the "new planet." You can see her holding back with everything she had lol. What planet is this indeed. The engineers home planet that David bombed with ooze? The planet that was first seen in Prometheus? The planet lv-426 before some type of catastrophic event? Oh the possibilities 

You know she wanted to just let it all roll out.  She was holding back ALOT.  I was laughing my a$$ off when I heard her say doing her stunts was like "Pig in ****".  Ridley couldn't get her off the wires.

Its a whole new planet that is for sure.  Its not LV-223 or LV-426.  If you recall in Prometheus at the end Shaw wanted to go to where they came from not back to Earth.  That was neither of those 2 moons.

Yes saw this the other day, she obviously cant give plot details away,  what she does confirm is she is nothing special as far as her role and character but she is forced to change into more of a fighter due to the trauma she suffers from the horrific threats she encounters.  This i think is the Ripley Arc and connection, only Daniels would start of less of a Ripley Character than Ripley was at the start of Alien but by the end of Alien Covenant.. Daniels would transform to the similar arc that took Ripley to come to terms with from Alien until after Aliens.

Nice to see she wanted and enjoyed doing stunts, to me it appears she is doing more than just one stunt scene and so we see her in the Hanger being blown by winds etc (well sucked from the vacuum of space) and so it seems this is more of a complex wire stunt than that of Rappace had to do in the dust storm while trying to recover the head.

As far as the Planet... we just dont know any real details so far, it appears the Covenant is a Colony ship with certain tera-forming equipment but it seems maybe this is equipment needed to Garden/Harvest a environment rather than maybe Tera-form from scratch...  

So it basically must either have equipment to harvest and grow stuff on a  quite habitable destination.  Or it also has means to build large contained complexes that can sustain a habitat to harvest inside... so think THE MARTIAN on a Larger Scale.

I still think it seems that Paradise is not their intended destination but maybe they get information from a signal that Paradise would be the Perfect ideal world to start a colony on as opposed to their destination.

We dont know who is pulling the strings and what kinds of protocols WY has, as far as detecting signals... and so if they detect something they have to go and investigate just like the Nostromo had to.... and if indeed someone on board has more information than the others are aware off... such as like ASH with Special Order 937

If the latter is correct and someone on the ship has knowledge about Prometheus etc... then maybe this would likely point to maybe the Zeta 2 system being there intended destination?

If there is no one in the know on board.. and its purely a signal detected from David or Shaw... then it would make more sense that there destination would be no where near the Zeta 2 system.

Right now its down to us all to guess if they are going to that system either as original destination, or as far as Paradise goes.  We dont have any evidence to suggest where they was going or where they end up is as far as location within the Galaxy...  The Synopsis says on the far side of the Galaxy which Zeta 2 is no where near that far....

But then Prometheus was off to the darkest parts of the universe which would be well Billions and Billions of LY if we take it literal as far as darkest being furthest.... I think Prometheus synopsis was to indicate darkest as far as sinister.

As far as the Sacrificial Scene in Prometheus.... it depends how they are evolving the importance of this scene and where it took place.

It was shot on Earth, but so was every other Sci-Fi movie ever made... only the Apollo missions was shot on the Moon or maybe lol

The plan in Prometheus was to show us that the Engineers used this Sacrificial route to seed life on Worlds to start the building blocks of life or the catalyst to evolve basic life.

And so when Ridley Scott said it did not have to be Earth, means that in reality the Engineers may have performed the same Ritual Sacrifices on other worlds as well as Earth too.

Now Alien Covenant has arrived, maybe the Sacrificial Scene could have been the first attempt at doing this... and on Paradise we simply cant be sure.

I have  a feeling... and mentioned this in my Female's being the downfall of Engineers and Mankind thread....  that maybe Females and loss of females could be the reason they turn to the Sacrificial route?

Ridley did say they could create life in other ways... which could mean cloning or maybe sexual procreation... but we saw no Female Engineers, the Engineer seemed very interested in Shaw and well if we linked the Engineers with Fallen Angels and Ridleys comments about how in Paradise Lost the Fallen Angels had the most fun... and how you had one guy who would go to all the parties and get all the girls... while one guy stay at home and be boring....  This ties in with Biblical Genesis 6:4 about the Giants when Sons of God (Angels) slept with the Daughters of Man.

We see they did have some female Engineer concepts for Prometheus where the females where flat chested....

Alien Covenant those beings on Paradise we see females, and they have breasts lol.....  We maybe have to look at this scene being a Ancient Punishment scene...

Where these beings had done something against their creators, and as punishment they had tried to destroy them by wiping out the female Engineers.....  A gift taken from them by their Gods because they would Lust for and care for the Females more than their own creators.

This goes down to Bible too... if we study the Bible and Paradise Lost... had God not created Woman (Eve) for Adam but a Male companion or none at all..... its likely Adam would not have been tempted to Sin......  Unless Satan took form of a Female to tempt him.... and so Lust is a common theme of Sin, not only for Man but those Fallen Angels too.... its a theme followed in many cultures included Greek Mythos....

And even the Tale of Das Rheingold of which "enter the gods of valhalla"  is part of... which one rumor mentioned in a Prologue Weyland had activated David and then began to talk about creation etc and David then went to a Piano and played "enter the gods of valhalla"

Which i think the trailer and shot still of David and the Piano all but 100% confirms this rumor to be true..

So maybe and sorry for going off Topic.... but the Sacrifice was needed because these Engineers had the Gift of Female Companionship taken away from them....

But alas the so called 4Chan leaks propose the Engineer Scene is as the result of David for no reason at all... and then for no reason after the Juggernaught crashed LOL

Tiago, 4chan leaks usually end up being BS so I wouldn't worry about it.

Well the leaks keep getting more info added as far as stuff people miss.... so if someone brings up say a subject they missed or did not sound right... or detailed... they then all of a sudden either add information regarding this.. or they dont remember or it was not in the Test Shoot they saw...

So i think some things are about right, but not as far as details.. its pretty much a expanded synopsis with trailer and extended footage added and some other stuff that does not add up if you study the Trailers in Depth.

Fingers crossed its not 100% correct, and parts that are... there is a bit more to them... than was said.
