This is in regards to my topic entitled [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/4280]MAJOR SPOILER!!! ... BIG ONE! ... Not really cuz it's from TV Spot #9 on Public TELEVISION people![/url]... Obviously that's the amended title for by the host of this site...
I apologize if anyone found this to be a [i]SPOILER[/i] , but this topic is not a spolier, why? ...Cuz I found it in the OFFICIAL TV Spot released today.... Also, I'm not the [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/4260#48965]FIRST one[/url] to have posted this "SPOILER"
There is a HUGE problem with the standards set forth by this website.... This is not an official site for the movie, therefore always and will be FULL OF SPOILERS... That's why you're all here anyways....if not, then what did you think this fan site really was?
I strongly suggest that HOSTS instead of focusing on all the cry babies crying about SPOILERS, they should enforce a code of conduct on the kinds of behavior and verbiage used toward other members of this site, especially ones who contribute day after day lots of information and discussions that help make this site a worth while daily visit for other visitors....and perhaps a HUGE DISCLAIMER should be made that this ENTIRE WEBSITE is potentially FULL OF SPOILERS....rather than let us loyal members take the ass end of what other people's misunderstanding of what this fan website ACTUALLY CONTAINS...
And for the record, I would've posted the words SPOILER if I felt it really was a spoiler....but again, it wasn't because of it's source.

MemberOvomorphMay-02-2012 12:11 AMNate that's well put and I see now that it was an honest mistake but as others have said there are more than a few who will not be amused by it but my apologies if I said something wrong to you we are all here not for spoilers as someone else said but for the fact that at least in my case and quite possibly yours we love and appreciate the amazing and wondrous universe that it's Alien.

IMO I don't think it was even a spoiler. I'm really good at looking for small images in a screenshot and I can't tell anything so whatever, no big deal. That paper that showed what scenes was to be filmed and what would happen told me more than this picture. I really don't communicate on here much to people directly because I find.
There was a picture with David in the star map room with all these engineers walking around him and to me that was a bigger spoiler. Someone just re-posted that on a forum the other day and I'd never saw it before but I just thought oh cool, that's weird, then I moved on. So keep fightin the good fight, I know this is a late comment,

I'll be the first to admit that I can be a bit of a deviant, but I really don't care what other people think of me, I was made this way by God or the Engineers or the Creators or whatever, and I have to deal with myself every time I wake up and realize I woke up again. That being said, I do try to take the beliefs and morals of others seriously, so IF I offend someone with something, just say so and I will issue an apology.
On the spoilers thing, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ON THE INTERNETZ!! and in particular, this site if you don't want to know anything? No one forces anyone to click on a link, and if it has SPOILER in the thread title, I think you read at your own risk. That being said again, if someone posts something that possibly may spoil something it would be nice for a heads up and not too much info in the title thread, there is a description box available for you to describe the idea of your thread.
I'm an Alien nut just like the rest of you, and a big geek/nerd/kid whatever. But I also think I'm grown up enough to have a fairly thick skin when it comes to stuff like this. Blatant insults are not cool on anyone's watch, but I'm Aussie, we poke fun at everyone including ourselves. In fact, ourselves more than anyone else :-P

People - as I learned - we've been through THAT much on here that its probably been covered.
ALSO.. and this is a BIG problem i'm finding. Posts just remain in date order of started for me. So popular and Good posts that should be given more attention drop off after a day of posting, when they would normally be at the top of a forum because they are good and post worthy
This would easily rectify the first issue aswell because the main points that trend at that time would put off 1,000,001 eager fans jumping the gun when it's already been shot.
i.e there would have been ONE topic about the TV spot, and everyone would have posted in that, forming batter dialogue within the community also. I'm talking from experience as I run a popular forum, and this is the defacto way they run

MemberOvomorphMay-02-2012 6:34 AMAs much as I like this site (and I still think it's the best out there) they have a different approach over on [url=http://www.prometheusnews.net/]Prometheus News[/url] but is it helping? I guess we all have to be aware of spoilers and be conscious how we deal with them, with that avalanche of official and inofficial news breaking every minute it's gonna be messy, no matter what you try or how you approach it.

I changed your title AFTER someone else did, only to make that post known to NEW readers, that this COULD be a major Spoiler ... you see, they may of landed directly on that post, or any other spoiler post for that matter, and not read the threads before it ... so they wouldn't know ... it's for them really more than anybody else ... ;) ...
The only problem I have with spoilers, in ANY forum, is the fact that we do NOT always read through the threads chronologically ... therefore we'll hit the top post 1st and may not realize whats been posted before ... therefore BAM! an unmarked spoiler right in your face ... it's not a big thing just a heads up for readers ;) ...
Yes I agree with the argument "why are we here", etc, if not for the spoilers ... but up until the last 2 (or 3) trailers/videos we were here chatting and speculating ... it all seems to have gone a bit Pete tong with what is being given to us, to watch, by the marketing people ... I personally think it's too much now ... maybe they don't know how great we are at analyzing things down to a pin head, using Deckards 'ESPER' machine ... trouble is with the latest stuff out there, we don't really need Deckards toys anymore to be honest :( ...
No-ones to blame really ... we all adults ... and we know NOT to look at things if we don't want to ... but sometimes we just need reminding :) ...
Anyhow it's alright for you lot being able to NOT look ... lol ... but us MODs have to go in and EDIT this stuff and we unfortunately HAVE to see it whether we like it or not ;) ...

I did spot what happened right away when i zoomed the image trying to explain to someone that the Jockey was not David by looking at the size of him to the Chair, the Door etc.... when i noticed something that then puts to bed that theory and also explains the size difference.
But i never spilled the beans....
I guess people was upset with your thread because it hilighted what some had found with a keen eye and you gave away it in the thread.
If someone found a image or link that showed Shaes Death i.e "Shaws Death by Vickers" some may think its BS and click on it and if its true they would have a major spoiler"
Instead i stuck up for you but said maybe the thread should be changed, like above example of Shaw killed by Vickers to "Shaw and Vickers at End Major Spoiler Warning"
PS.... the part about Shaw getting killed by Vickers was made up by me ;)
