Who is the 'blue guy'?

I'm not too sure either azalard and I've been lurking on the boards for some time. I don't really know whether it's him, or the greyish being glimpsed briefly in the the earlier trailer's at the waterfall site. Either way, describing him as blue seems a bit strange as he's always appeared more pallid grey to me.

No worries :) Everybody has their own way of describing what they see, it's just that it can be confusing as hell sometimes!

I am going to go for this... That Bald Guy is more a greyish colour than Blue he is only Blue due to the lighting in the Orrey Room. He is about 9-10ft tall, he is the Engineer and he is the guy who gets into the Space Jockey Suit and Pilots the Juggernaught Ship. Thus the Space Jockeys and Engineers are the same, just 9ft odd Humaniods who wear Space Suits.

Thanks BigDave, that makes MUCH more sense :3 It would be interesting if they were different factions or castes of the same species, the SJ's may be more like the grunts whereas the engineers may be more like the overseer's.

I still think it's Captain Picard on crack, and really Prometheus is simply the alternate timeline created after the events of Star Trek 2009.

The 'individual' in question almost look very opaque, almost chameleon-like bordering on transparency. When inside the rising 'Chair' chamber he almost 'blends into' the surrounding super-structure. He has a hint of buish-grey/gray opacity to 'Him'. It's almost like you can begin to see through him slightly... Wehter the Space Jockey/Bio-Engineer/converted Human or what hes INTEGARAL to the 'purpose' of the 'Chair' and crittically, an 'individual' that brings to Prometheus I'm sure one of those jraw-dropping moments as Darth Vader DECLARING to Luke Skywalker and indeed THE UNIVERSE: "I AM YOUR FATHER!!!" I think this 'guy' carries a similar sort of 'revelation weight' upon 'his' shoulders as well!

I definitely think that this guy must be the astronaut who traveled and warned each civilization about the experiment happened on that planet. I guess that is why we see this blue guy in every painting along with that elephant face alien and ofcourse the same starmap.

...it looks like Dr.Manhattan to me...not in the nude for a change.! ..i also think it's this humanoid thing that impregnates Shaw.....or maybe this is the thing she kills or tries to kill when she screams......diiiieee!...in some of the TV spots...u do see her lying on the ground with this thing slowly approaching her...it might also be one of the crew members which has mutated....most likely Hollaway!

Good point Juxtapose, the whole being impregnated thing - likely against her will - would make her want it to die!

@dippybird I am also constantly reminded of the fly....her having to kill Hollaway after his transformation ...might be a very tender spot...but she is forced to.... he impregnated her and this thing she gave birth to is on the loose and his become a monster...because he went to far.( he did anything and everything)....so just before killing him she screams....DiEEEE!.....that cry .... it's filled with anguish and terror and also loss..or i may be completely off...lol

No Juxtapose, I don't think you're off, I think that's why her voice sounds so manic! Whatever that thing is that's in his eye, it won't be good for her...

Well it apears that this guy is the last of his kind, well in regards to this part of the Galaxy. We see 4 sarcophagus in the scenes and 3 have what apear to be holes in them, and they are not uniform holes but more like the holes we saw in Kanes Space suits Helmet... i.e burnt through. We see in the Hologram Room 3-4 Engineers and in the Ghost Scene we see 3 seeming to be running for their lives. So i am assuming that the one surviving Engineer played a important part in the downfall of their race on that outpost and the creation of the Xeno.

thanks dippybird.....i am glad u think that my imagination has not gone totally wild...my ideas about Holloway and Shaw ....it seems so almost obvious from what i have seen from the trailers?...tho trailers can be very deceptive.....it's just how the scenes are ordered and with a story like Prometheus i would not be surprised if fox are trying their best to mislead us.... Wouldn't mind if i am totally wright or wrong tho?

Yes, it could be interesting if it turns out he is trying to prevent the spread of the creatures he harbours in the temple and then he tries to kill the crew because they tampered with his methods... If his creations turned on him, then it could make an interesting parallel if say, David, were to turn on the crew.

yip...i definitely agree Dippybird. I am starting to like Noomi's character more and more just purely based on the trailers.....i have'nt even seen her in any movie yet....but from what I can tell purely from the trailers i think she can pull it off....Charlize is my favorite tho....she must not die....but's she's gonna...i just know!...;/
