Yeah I know right -_- 6 months.....but I think the waiting will pay off in the end. We still have Colonial Marines coming out in March to hold our appetite and to please us as an appetizer. I bet you anything within the next few months or soo. I'm gonna say between 3 and 4 months they should release a FULL theatrical trailer, being anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes long in length. Maybe April we can hope for the big trailer. I can't wait for this. I want Prometheus on blu-ray sooooo bad. I imagine there going to wait until October for a Halloween release of Prometheus on blu-ray and DVD. Anyways I"M SO FUCKING EXCITED!!!

yeah... W A I T I N G these next 6 months is gonna be a certain kind of torture i think i will have to chill on the spoilers / leaks just before the film is finally released, i do want some things kept a mystery to me until i see the film for myself, and hopefully be blown away by it it will be interesting to see if the plot is completely different than what i think it is something to look forward to =0)

I love how the urn's top just falls off and the guy looks into it.. I wonder if they do that in this movie.. lol. If I'm watching the movie and the top of the urn falls of.. and a guy goes to look into the urn.. well just say, I'm not gonna fall for that one..

To be honest I prefer Alien and Alien 3, then Aliens then Resurrection. Fincher was put through a lot by Fox and still managed to produce a good looking film that ended up being butchered. Fincher is also a big fan of Ridley's, so much so that Ridley actually visited the set of A3 to meet him. Aliens was an action film that reduced these unstoppable killing machine Aliens down to so much cannon fodder in a rather blatant retake on the Vietnam war. In fact while working as freelance and my weekly chats with Dave Hughes, most of the Alien 3 naysayers came across as whiners who wanted another Aliens. Suitably annoyed at such petulance and ignorance of how a film series works, I suggested in a letter in the magazine that they should just take their video copy of Aliens off the shelf, stick that in their VCR's and watch that instead.

I realised a few years ago that the reason why I like Outland is because it could exist in the ALIEN universe, spot on Neurion

One of my all time favorite films. I cry every time I see Elliot laying out that trail of M&M's. In fact, I need a good one right now, I am off work and have the time to go have a good cry so "what the heck" I'm puttin' it on right now.

I have the collector's edition also with the Entire screenplay in hardcover book, 3 different versions of the film including one with the music done LIVE by John Williams and and his orchestra PLUS a "Cenotaph" of the very scene you posted in that pic Theusprom.

Yes I agree Spartacus. If we use the comics as a guide, a derelict does reaches earth and most of our planet is overrun with xenomorphs. That summer release is just too far away. I will be among the first in line to see this. I hope I don't work that day. And if I do, I'm requesting off early! The last shot is quite interesting. The derelict is activated. I wonder is that shot from their first entry? Or is that just a promotional shot?

Hmm, wouldn't rely on the comics too much for canon. That last shot is a PS mock up. The suit looks like the onr Ripley wore in the final scenes of Alien

Well the odd thing about the movie is the time frame. When the ship lands, snow is on the mountains. Later when you see the vehicles moving to the "ship" on the paved road, there is no snow. Well of course this could be a different planet, or a different part of the same planet. But it would not be far fetched if they discover no living creatures, but they have all of these ampules with "things" in it. They could easily cultivate a specimen in the women.. Xenos will be in the movie, I think they are just hiding it for a good surprise, they are not going to be normal xenos.

There are three different teasers, an official trailer, a leaked trailer they were testing for ratings, and photos of the "trailer" they showed at comicon. The screen cap I posted above is from teaser #1 on YouTube. You can find all three and the official trailer there. The leaked test trailer is harder to find. One of these guys has a link somwhere. Lemme look at the threads and I'll try to post it.

How do you know that LV-426 is even in the movie? The planet in the trailer looks nothing like it. Oh, man I hope it doesn't turn out to be prehistoric earth that they got to through a wormhole....

But Snorkel, why would the derelict in Prometheus be the same one as Alien? How would you (or the film-makers) explain the huge storage area where the eggs were found under the ship? Until I see the film, I will stick with my theory that the planet in Prometheus is NOT LV-426

I recently watched episode 1 of a documentary called "Prophets of Science Fiction", produced and partially hosted by Sir Ridley Scott. The first episode was about Mary Shelley. So I would guess "Prometheus" is tied to Frankenstein and the idea of it being "The Modern Prometheus."

Their is parallels between the two stories...very obvious ones....but that IMO is all their is... it is a very keen observation tho!

I guess it is going to be elements from both that will be used for the main framework of the story. We shall see.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the "acid helmet guy" is the bald guy in the wheelchair and also closely related to the leaping Mohawk guy.
