That's a good point Jonesy.

David 8 (above) looking at Daniels was unaware of the conversation Daniels and Walter had regarding building the cabin on the lake to fulfill a promise in between Branson and Daniels.
That would tend toward David 8 not taking over Walter's body and his memories.
Oh wow, that is awesome!!! Can you show a close-up of the hat? Is it the Weyland-Yutani logo?
Jonesy Like this?

I want that facehugger as my pillow : )
But they were kind of right though, even if they are a bit childish in the way they review stuff. Ultimately I did find AC pretty underwhelming..
Jonesy - And it means something else regarding a possible AC sequel... Something important... :)
Ingeniero / drucea -
Some great ideas too!! i was beginning to give up hope on this creature but it is far TOO intriguing to ignore any possibility of it being correct.
I am away to look at it again see if i can get another snap or is that all we get (injeneiro may know????) sometimes the flash image is not long enough to even have a full frame. perhaps this is the case. We may have the best shpts already?
Next step we find the artist ? Who may know that?
IRaptus - Totally true, thank you!
They are enamel crew pins.
imo if everyone keeps the snowballing hate going, all we'll end up with is no more Aliens, and more tentpole, popcorn-munching, pg13, feel-good marvel/dc superhero films...just sayin :)
hahaha Jonesy same here. Ill work for free.
That flute scene is important, it symbolizes cooperation, harmony, brotherly love, memory of Shaw.
Also this link states that flute is an instrument that symbolize God's voice.
"In early cultures the flute played an important role in the realm of magic and was very closely linked to the hereafter and the spirit world with its gods. The instrument is often shown as being played by gods or symbolizes a god’s voice"
https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Concert_flute/Symbolism
So my own understanding is that David was trying to play the role of God.
Should we reveal the true reason of it or we will keep the secret? :)
nice! Are they mission patches?
Dear Sir Ridley, I can work for free for Covenant 2. Please hire me. :D
best regards,
Jonesy
A simple, yet precise explanation... I wonder if it was causing her death that started his path down into madness... Making the mini shrine to her, and the grave stone, even though she was still clearly mutilated on his slab...

Don't forget: August 15th!
Often, when people say "I don't mean to do this, but" they proceed to do just what they say they mean not to do.
My telly is too old for 4K... It'll be the standard BluRay for me...
Perhaps the creature in the mural is the pure form of the black goo creature. It almost looks like the Engineer figure's hand/arm is absorbing or being absorbed (metaphoricly maybe) by the creature. The creature also has 5 ridges/rings coming around the ribcage area, along with slight shoulder ridges. These could have been where the xenomorph's rib like appearance and shoulder "flares" are originally derived from. Or maybe that is how the LV-223 Engineers got their "bio-suit." Maybe once they are merged with the goo on LV-223, it gives them the biomechanical suit that is part of their body.
I honestly don't see how people can think AC was slow... I just don't get it...
Thanks for the photos Ingeniero
Ati I have the same thought too. It would be so dope to explore around at night with that laser gun.
Yes Ati. I'm sure we will be able to in VR.
Thanks Kethol. Which means that childish trolls really don't understand the whole flute scene
I really like reading about Ridley's ideas for the franchise and how much he wants to expand the universe. I alos like hearing that he makes movies for himself, not other people. I wish he was able to do that instead of shoehorning Xenomorphs in because the fans wanted it. I believe he knows where he is taking the story, but also feels like he is exploring and discovering it as he goes, just as we do as we view the new movies. Like he says, he's not retelling a story so he does have to make it ALL up as he goes. I hope he is able to make many more of these movies. I don't know why so many people seem to want him to just make one Alien prequel to tie it all together. There is so much to the story that it would be impossible. Who cares how it links up to Ripley? She was just another crew member at first. The Space Jockey is more interesting than how Ripley ends up in the franchise.
It was David. I had the, "was it really David or did Walter turn evil, etc." thought too. The thing is, we were already explicitly shown that Walter could heal almost instantly and David could not. The fact that "Walter" even needed the staples in his face at the end proves it was not really Walter. I guess the crew not noticing this is just another instance of them being suicidally negligent. So yeah. Walter is dead. David cut his hand off and took Walter's place. However improbable the editing makes it seem (time-wise), this is the only possibility. They also made a point of "Walter" not knowing about the "cabin on the lake".
I hope David at least took Walter's hand with him, so that he can operate a computer terminal and jack-off at the same time. Two right hands is better than one right hand.
I'd like to enter this plaza at night, beyond doubt. :)
Awww you're a sweetheart Starlogger
Yes Ati, I wish it was longer too. It somehow reminds me of Alien Isolation, having that hide and seek atmosphere.
Hello Davefried81. I was speculating that the very unclear image flashed was similar to what is shown in the Prometheus mural shown in the comparison.
@Jonesy I do LOVE that classic SW poster, but NOTHING compares to you in this:

or this:

dk - Wow! Such beautiful cushions!
(kiddin) :)
FINALLY! Whew...I've been sweating it with you wondering if the company had gone tets-up and leaving you high and dry.
Jonesy - Yes, this is awesome! One of the fav moments from the movie. I like the way it enters the bay. So brave! That scene should have been a little bit longer.

Oops, the main pic didn't load:

At last! :)
Jonesy and Walter - I like the flute scene, too. A gift scene by Scott. :)
Davefried81 - I didn't link the honest trailer itself. I linked the article by The Hollywood Reporter. I like the THR title suggesting that the trailer in question is BS. :)
Michelle - Yes that is nuice and dark. But we need punches at the end or our movies too. Something that you feel hit the spot and raised you to exceed all expectations s of the film
EDIT: Maybe Walter can fly or fix one or maybe unlock the grounding codes that disabled
My head says there is something about Planet 4 and all of this vastness of space.it is smack in the absolute middle of the habitat zone. did not show up on LR scans. plz give us something on that too if there has been connections ?
Love this STAR WARS poster Starlogger , great design.
Flute scene to me was awesome and I have not watched the YT vid linked here-
