Yeah baby!
I hope the TV shows keeps the momentum and we a get a new movie in 2028 ( or sooner! ).
this is such a good news
Let's face hug more cash and give birth more prequels/sequels . :D
No thanks, Ripley is done. There are so many other characters that they can do, worlds that they can build, monsters that they can do so there's no need for another Ripley-movie. AR was bad enough and she was in it, so. Please lay it to rest, for ever.
Yeah I wish Big Dave would come back
To expand upon from above, LV-426's official name is Acheron, look it up its on the internet and on the ALIEN DVD and BluRay! Also LV-426/Acheron orbits a planet, called Calpamos thus is a moon and its star is Zeta Reticuli.
Calling it Ivaga III makes no sense with planet naming convenations of that type since Ivaga would be its star name and LV-426 doesn't orbit Ivaga, it orbits Zeta Reticuli.
LV-426 already has a second name and that is Acheron!
come back to this thread for some nostalgia :p
quite interesting to re-read these plots after seeing the movie : D
They need to get the characters right + obviously a good story.
I would like them to use the Engineers as bad guys. We haven't seen a lot of those things to it would be nice as a change.
Excellent Idea Michart! That would be very cool.
I would love a sequel.
Rain and Andy reach the planet Ivaga III. It is a rather dark planet but with an atmosphere and terraformed. They land at the airport and on the terraforming blocks there is an inscription "Hadley Hope". She starts Andy and goes with him to the briefing. She looks for someone who will fix him. She finds a mechanic but is betrayed by him and for smuggling an artificial human being she is locked in prison. The police search the ship they arrived on and a mutated woman comes out from the ship's interior, who is similar to Shaw from Covenant. The police catch her and lock her up in isolation. After a while she gives birth to a small alien - an alien queen who escapes. They call Rain and Android for questioning. She says that they have discovered a secret space station and the Romulus laboratory where Xenomorphs found by the Nostromo ship on LV-426 were being studied. The commander says that the second name of this planet is LV-426. So they send ships to scan the planet and find a ship in the shape of a horseshoe of engineers. Two males are impregnated by facehuggers. when they return to the colony, the battle with the Xenomorphs is already underway and the queen has built a nest...
Question, would the Pirates even know what the accelerant even is to do such a thing on Rain? I highly doubt it. Pirates are not mad scientists; They are cut-throat survivalist they care only about money, their own survival, and fast-clean-murder
More than likely they would steal the pathogen and try and sell it to make money, sounds something a pirate would do.
I'm curious what other sorts of abominations will the company make with the accelerant?
Ridged, makes it more distinct from its younger stage the Drone.
Also I think it was James Cameron that implied the growth from Smooth to Ridged

Collider interview with Fede Alvarez

About the Offspring, Fede wanted to avoid making a CG creature and had to find the right person for it. He then found out about Robert Bobroczkyi and sent him an email asking him if he would like to be in an Alien movie, and Robert was like “Fuck yesss”. The Offspring was mostly done using make-up, except for the tail which was CG.
I was totally fine with the Engineer being there, the Engineers are the best part of the prequels. Hopefully they will be used in later movies, let's see.
Out of all things Fede didn't imitate from the other Alien films it was a ship or a module (Alien 3) entering an atmosphere, which is practically synonymous with the series at this point. Here, it leaves(!) the atmosphere (twist!) but jokes aside that scene was indeed especially similar to the drop ship sequence in Aliens, with Bjorn here sort of mirroring Hudson's character by being the only one not sitting down and also acting cocky. Loved the scene nonetheless, especially the thrusters igniting, and Navarro's "here comes the hug" (probably referring to the g-forces) was a nice detail.
I found it an easy watch. It had basic ideas: escape a planet, escape a space station, defeat monsters. It was much simpler compared to the complexity of the other Alien movies.
I liked how they reversed the de-orbiting sequence from Aliens with a dramatic escape into orbit!
I agree and I think it's got some replay value as well, at the very least for the gorgeous environments, juicy visuals and action scenes. It's a fun Alien rollercoaster experience while it lasts.
Smooth dome for me. Seems more otherworldly.
While not an issue per se, the ridged, carapace-like heads in Aliens visually enhanced the concept of hive insects imo. Maybe it was intentional by Cameron but I prefer the smooth dome as well.
please please make it true
I want the VR version so bad
I'd love an Alien Isolation sequel but these rumors should indeed be taken with a pinch of salt. Sega wasn't satisfied with its sales numbers. I think it's more likely we'll see some action-oriented aliens games to satisfy the broader gaming market.
"I can't lie to you about the chances of an Alien Isolation sequel but... you have my sympathies"

Yeah, I'm fine with either ending, but I'd personally prefer the happy one. Though, I can imagine fans complaining about a "Disney happy ending!" or being upset if Rain dies.
@MZ both those ending ideas on Yvaga would be compelling. Hopefully they're both okay on that planet, both gazing at the sunset from the top of a mountain before the screen fades out and the credits roll. It would be a much needed and satisfying closure for the first time since Aliens imo. Alien 3 despite its troubled production is good and original imo (especially AC version) but not the most happy ending, or beginning for that matter.
Cool! I wish Dark Horse would make something like this.

Yes, that works. They capture Rain and take the accelerant. One of the pirates suggests injecting Rain to see its effects...
that illustration is so cool
If they create a trilogy, what should the final scene be? Rain peacefully lying in a grassy field, admiring the stars while Andy picks flowers nearby? Or Rain's lifeless body in the same field, her final sight being the stars?
What if Rain experiences a medical emergency, and Andy tries to use the network to find help? Rain insists he avoids regular channels, forcing Andy to turn to the dark web. There, he encounters a mysterious figure named "David" through a monitor. David offers his assistance, but his intentions remain unclear.
I see Andy as somewhat childlike, struggling with complex ideas. Without decades of their shared experiences, it's tough to define their personalities definitively.
However, Andy is clearly aware of Rain's constant need for money, as she's always selling something. So, from his perspective, why not sell something that appears valuable?
I would imagine the newborn would develop a diarrhea brown carapace or retain having human-like skin vulnerable to sun burns and the vacuum of space depending which genes are more dominate
I just don't think it matches his character to start going all Ash/Rook/David on us
Hmmm I'm not sure if Andy would be sneaky since he no longer has Rook's chip.
Also I would have it to where their ship would be boarded either by Weyland-Yutani, BioNat Corp, Chigusa Corporation, Grant Corp, Wal-Mart, <insert new WY rival>, the Colonial Marines, scavengers, or space pirates
I would have to rewatch the movie. I'm not sure which side fell first but I have a feeling that it may have been Remus that fell first given thats where the Pathogen Labs were and the xenomorph hive was constructed around it.
Colonial Marines are a stable of the franchise. Why would people be upset by bringing them back?
That would be like fans getting angry at Star Wars for bringing back the Stormtroopers.
