Imo, its a bit too far fetched. It could Just be an interesting shape of rocks. There could be a temple in this movie, but i dont think that the teaser really shows such. Because we are so excited about this Movie, some of us are starting Seeing things by overanalyzing Images from.the teaser trailer.

I LOVE 3D and I am so excited to see Prometheus in 3D. How can you not be excited about seeing what a master like Ridley can do with it?! When the masters use 3D, it just takes everything up a level and immerses you into the story. I don't think this franchise would work well if converted though. It is way too dark and would cost too much money. People might check out the first two, but Fox would lose money if they converted and rereleased III and IV. You really have to plan for 3D, even if converting, for it to work right. That's why Titans was so horrible. They did not plan for it to be in 3D and then rushed the conversion.

My favorite place to see a movie is this little theater in downtown Barrington called The Catlow. It's a small, movie palace style place that was built in the 30's. It's beautiful. Detailed wood carvings adorn the walls and ceilings.....It's the first place I ever saw a movie in the theater...'The Jungle Book' I believe................but anyway, they're selective about which films they show on their one screen and I'm praying they play 'Prometheus'. I'm sure I'll have seen it at least once by the time they would show it, but I can't wait to see it there.........that would mean a lot.......

i'm with Engr101 on that one. both gladiator and blackhawk down were rated R. without the violence and gore i don't those movies would have been as good.

That is something I have argued a lot elsewhere. Most things imagined are far far worse then what is seen in film. Showing too much risks falling into the trap that a lot of modern "horror" falls into....worthless gorefests with few redeeming points[see the entire torture gore subgenre of horror that has become so popular]. It's not the key these days, it has always been the key to great horror in my mind with a few exceptions. I think the "R" rating would more appeal to the "AvP" crowd. Personally I hate that shit. AvP:R is still the worst film I have ever seen, and man, if you saw my movie collection 10 years ago, I have endured a lot of shitty films.

There could very well be separate ship & temple. Ridley might want to revisit some aspects of the old scripts for 1979 ALIEN. The original script to ALIEN has always posited separate locations for spaceship wreck and indigenous temple. Due to budget constraint, they combine the two together in the final version. the two shots from the trailer with the land rovers almost looks like its from two locations ,planets?? .... or bay doors opening up . heading out(dark) , land rovers heading back to the ship in the dust( sunny looking) or its just,,, one during the day and the other one night

Not to mention he left more to the imagination by not showing certain things....that your imagination filled the gaps with.....and that is much scarier than actually seeing the "act." That I think is key to being scary these days.

I too am not very concerned with a PG-13 rating....what made 'Alien' great wasn't so much the gore and violence but the surreal and tense atmosphere Scott provides and by leaving holes in the story to allow the audience's imagination to run wild..(i.e. derelict ship/space jockey origin)

i have yet to experience any film in 3d and i wear glasses for distance so it really discriminates against us poor buggers that have less than 20/20 vision

I dont know why he refers to gervais as funny the office was ok but everything else he's done is pants now bill hicks theirs a guy lol. Well i think he's referring to the original alien where bret kicks the bucket chasing jonesy around and the xeno is suspended from the ceiling before it lowers itself to attack bret. simplicity works well in that scenario.

I'm coming round to the same conclusion engineer prototype, and i'm convinced that ridley has the integrity to make a serious gritty drama from this and will not compromise his vision into popcorn fodder its just not his style so whatever the rating i think it will be a fine film regardless.

@Rick ok you got me there,I did see a clip of Avatar 3D on a 3D tv and it was amazing!! @Brego I saw clash of the titans too!! it was a bad enough film in 2D!!! 3D just compounded the trauma!!!
