Alien and Rick and Morty are two of my favourite franchises of all time, so seeing them come together means I'm in happy hour.
In a video specially made to promote Alien: Covenant and the third season of Rick and Morty, we see the foul-mouthed, drug-addicted scientist Rick Sanchez and his distressed grandson Morty Smith encountering none other than a Facehugger from the Alien franchise. Things go down pretty much as you'd expect, so prepare for some hardcore laughter.
Alien: Covenant hits US screens on May 19, whilst Rick and Morty season 3 will air on Adult Swim later this year.
Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 project was inevitably canceled following the merger between 20th Century Fox and Disney. Blomkamp had hoped to revive characters Hicks and Ripley for a new film, rewriting the Alien timeline, chalking up Alien 3 and Resurrection to mere bad dreams. Studio executives decided to can the project and instead took the franchise in a new direction, tapping Fede Alvarez to direct Alien: Romulus.
Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 is indefinitely shelved.
